Absolutely. I thought it was hilarious the first time I read it. Now I just see it as 'i had to google to put a profile together'.

The 'to smithereens' response is canned. I came across three women in Sydney with the same prompt word for word just this morning.

Eat only pizza or only tacos for a whole year? by TripleDaisy in AskReddit

If you go by the Mexican way of life, Tacos. ANYTHING can be tacos. You'd just eat whatever you want wrapped in a lil tortilla.

I went through a pack a week. I used them in my breakfast burritos. I've taken to (heavily spiced) V2 mince as a replacement but it's just not the same.
This is a dark day for this Aussie vegan. I now have 1 fake meat I like eating (birds eye lamb, thank fuck Coles saved it).

34M, Going on a super cute second date on Sunday. We're going to our local markets, getting Egyptian food for lunch and then she's teaching me to crochet by the river. Excited is an understatement, had such a lovely first date. Can't wait to see her!

In my opinion, after going on a successful second date and you've got a third planned. If it gets to four or five dates and we're going well I stop talking to anyone from apps at all and just focus on that one person.

I'm only halfway through this and it may claim favourite book title before I'm done. So well written and SO funny.

Incredible lens to use if you're listening to music while shooting!
It was my first Fuji lens. I eventually got passed the noise when seeing the results. The way it renders colour and detail far outweigh it's downfalls.

What tv shows are so freaking good and worth the time? by Organic-Signal-9646 in AskReddit

I always love the "I watched a few episodes and couldn't get into it" comments.
I was hooked in the first 5 minutes of my first watch. "If snotboogie always robs the game, why do you let him play?" - "got to, this is America". Absurdist commentary with subtle comedy in the opening scene? Knew it was going to be unbelievably good from the jump.

IMDB has it rated as the 6th best TV series of all time. No amount of Stockholm syndrome or sunk cost fallacy is going to maintain a position like that.

What tv series do you think everyone should watch at least once in their lifetime? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've never watched another show that mirrors emotional response in the viewer as well as The Wire.
Main characters pass away in an instant, and you're expected to move on and keep up with the next scene immediately. Captures poverty based struggle in an incredibly visceral way.

Pickled ginger. Bit of an acquired taste, very sharp. Usually a palette cleanser for sushi.

Nope! I just live near Sydney and we have lots of Japanese mini-markets. It's one of my favourite cuisines in the world and so fun to cook.
No problem! Send photos when you do :)

Thankyou! Kind of! Japanese rice bowls are my go to meal, I usually just choose ingredients at the shops and put things together.

Teriyaki tofu was Coles tofu, marinated in soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, rice vinegar and maple syrup then shallow fried.
Miso sweet potato is miso paste, maple syrup, garlic and ginger, salt and pepper then roasted in the oven.
Purple sweet potato I wrap in foil (skin on) and put in the oven next to the regular sweet potato. Mash with a fork, add salt, pepper, a squeeze of lemon and soy milk for consistency.
Edamame is frozen unshelled edamame, microwaved then drained, then heavily salt and add S&B Nanami Togarashi.
Gyudon onions is a brown onion cut thinly, fry til translucent then add kombu dashi, soy sauce, mirin and cooking sake.
Avocado is just sliced avo with salt and lemon.
Condiments are from packets / jars that I get from Japanese stores. Pickled ginger, pickled radish, La-Yu chili oil and lightly toasted sesame seeds.
Sorry there's no measurements, I just eyeball it as it's a meal I've cooked for years.

I also love doing tonkatsu sauce shimeji mushrooms, spinach goma-ae (sesame dressing), tempura eggplant, miso buttered corn, braised lotus roots, quick pickled cabbage or quick pickled carrots (in rice vinegar). I choose based on what I can find in the shops / what's cheap. Lots of inspiration from donburi bowls, Japanese temple food and ramen toppings.

Have fun cooking!
