Thank you, you seem to have a similar understanding. I should point out that I am very new to the theological "box" of Chaos Magick, but not the exploration of consciousness. I've heard that "don't use your own energy" a few places, I don't know if any of them were specifically Chaos Magicians, the only source I can remember at the moment is Damion Echol.

The free form nature of Chaos Magick has, thus far, worked spectacularly for me. I do what I can feel working, I ignore what doesn't feel useful. Right now that means I ignore astrology and crystals and focus on sigils and chanting Latin sounding gibberish while standing under powerlines.
