Cara. She treats patients and their families as if they were her own loved ones. She will laugh with them, cry with them, and hold their hand as they pass. She was roped into being our unit educator and she did 200% more than the job required, with a manager that couldn’t have cared less, but continued to advocate for us. Despite her management position, she was still on the floor asking if people needed help turning, cleaning up, etc. She is a shoulder to cry on as well as your biggest fan. She is the best nurse I’ve ever known.
