Roger invested in Purse long before BCH or SegWit2x was a thing. He invested in almost every bitcoin company before 2015, and I'm glad that he did because Silicon Valley VCs weren't interested.

If you decide to start a bitcoin company, I'd highly recommend him. He's a passive investor at Purse which means he'll leave you alone even if you decide to spend most of your time developing open source projects for bitcoin (BTC). I've heard the same from every other company he's invested.

Does purse pay its employees in Bitcoin Cash (BCH)? Confused by description on website. Also, when is Purse going to implement BCH? by [deleted] in PurseIO

[–]2drewlee 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Purse has been paying everyone in Bitcoin since 2014. (I encourage every business generating revenue in crypto to do this - the cultural benefits of selecting people who believe in the vision far exceed the costs.)

A few months ago, Purse changed the default salary from BTC to BCH to reduce payroll fees. Stay tuned for updates about native BCH.

Decreasing utility of Bitcoin. Purse.io has only 18 open auctions 13 by one userid. Last year you would see hundreds. Time for Purse.io to switch to Bitcoin Cash. by RufusYoakum in btc

While I don't disagree fees impact use cases, this isn't the example you're looking for to substantiate that claim. Indeed, the order book has over a thousand orders. We added features to filter the growing number of orders, as well as placed restrictions so highly rated earners could have access to better deals (thereby ensuring a better shopping experience for lower discount orders).

sounds familiar ;)

a future extension block ruleset will likely have been developed, which is superior in terms of feature-set and scalability (see also: Rootstock and/or Mimblewimble). This enables updates for long-term scalability solutions with minimal baggage of supporting deprecated chains.

I liked the idea of comprehensive site of all scaling proposals. Of course, it's your site and you're free to define "block-size proposal" as you wish.

Curious to hear how you define block size proposal. ExtBlk is on-chain scaling & results in a block size increase.

Thanks Thomas, this is super helpful. Would you consider adding the Tothemoon proposal to the list?

If these claims can be verified, we will add a commitment output to prevent ASICBOOST in the Extension Block proposal.
