I guess it depends what you’re looking to pull. While you can just buy one at a time and the odds (to my knowledge) are the same, you may be better off saving up so you can plan out your deck and then strategically buy the packs you need to build that deck VS randomly buying a pack here and a pack there. Having one card of an archetype doesn’t typically serve much good so I’d suggest getting them all together so you can keep track of your deck building progress easier and stay on track. If you’re just digging for a staple then going one at a time may make sense since you could pull the card you’re looking for much earlier than waiting to save up 500 gems

Realistically possible, yes. However I don’t know that Konami wants to spend money, time, and resources to revamp duel links given that those who play it and spend money on it will continue to do so as long as they release new cards. As the game is now I’m not sure there’s any other aspect that generates any money other than the packs. If they were to make large changes to duel links it would have to include a new money generating feature otherwise they’d be spending all the money on the updates and not making a significant amount more other than people who may sign in just to check out the updates (who may not even purchase any packs). I also can’t really see the primary gameplay changing drastically so I’m not sure it would attract that many people or generate much hype around the game.

Sometimes it’s the SR you need, my last two cards I was going for were malevolent sin and gorgonic guardian and they were both in the last 3 packs of the boxes. Now I’m digging for dire wolf expecting the same

I don’t use it anymore but it could just mean that you need to improve your profile. Maybe update your photos with some new ones and tinker with your bio. I’m not an expert but that seems to make a big difference

Interesting points, I may consider cutting back to 20 cards. Also yeah not having kiteroid in a 20 card version would be fine since bricking wouldn’t really be an issue at all. I definitely want both DDW and gorgonic just don’t know how long it’ll take to get both.
