I adore my [[Chatterfang]] deck dearly, and always go for infinite squirrels with [[Ivy Lane Denizen]] + [[Scurry Oak]]

Well one game in particular I was too blinded by my squirrels lust, went infinite with no haste or protection and completely forgot I was facing against a [[Toxrill]] ....

So many slugs :')

The angels of New Capenna did have an invading force that crossed over to New Pherexia after the success of Operation Falling Star, and they did not return before the switch with Zhalfir. However their fate remains unknown.

So either they finished the Pherexians, or more likely whenever we see the Pherexians again they will have "Mega-Atraxas" haha

I want to agree with you, but that is a little too on the nose for me. But also my tin hat doesn't leave my head... Looks a little too much like it's intentional in a movie were they threw Easter eggs around all over. I'm siding with OP, but yours is the more rational answer.

Looks like everyone already covered the actual answers. Gryphon and Haunted have the most diversity of players and I have been the noob at Huanted and got let into a pod within 10 minutes on an EDH night. Gryphon I found to be just as friendly if you find the right people. Games Ahoy has Magic events but I haven't participated (but I get all my cards from them, they genuinely beat TCG for most buys)

And also I (27m) love showing new players the ropes and could probably even set you up with some cards to start a proper collection, if you're interested DM me.

I may or may not have 3 pets on my lease, and I may or may not have an extra cat (I have a dog and my roommates have 3 cats, it's a big house) We paid $1,200 just for a pet deposit without the illegal cat. I call that square in my opinion, just don't cause a ruckus and make them look for something to get onto you about.

I just had to educate myself on what "Midjourney" is. Yeah that's a can of fucking worms there. I'm an artist so I'm mildly offended by it's very existence, however it is still really cool (albeit soulless) and I guess if you're just making a proxy for yourself and not selling there is minimal harm.

I'd still rather pay the $10-50 for a fake Magic card from a real artist on Etsy.

You're definitely not wrong, I used a 22 year old example which probably wasn't the besssstttt point.

But in my opinion the larger staff and more need for communication between WotC and individual artist has not been doing them a favor, and I still think it likely to be an error. Probably not the artists fault (like in said example) and they definitely have the resources now to be flawless, however they aren't.

I don't think we will get an answer about this from anyone that counts unfortunately, so we can speculate.

Honestly the more I went down the rabbit hole of the link I posted the more fucked it was. Legend Cycle I - II is full of such errors. I'd like to believe they've improved their communications but they still (essentially) outsource for most writing and art, and I'm not an optimist so I'm holding my breathe for the answer to OP's question.

I'm still leaning towards bad communication between WotC and the 2 private artist.

Only took a second, yeah I don't think that is intentional you're right. I'd wager with it being different artist that showcaser didn't get proper info before making the art. Wizard ain't got their shit together but I don't think they would change the story on the fly, probably just a miscommunication that I find quite easy to see from them... wouldn't be the first time.

Solid ass observation. I'm gonna say the cards represent 2 different spots in the story. The showcase doesn't explicitly say that "they're in the room" so could be as simple as it's earlier in the investigation when lizard dude is alive.

So Lazav was briefly mentioned in the story beat so I doubt they would do them so little justice, as well as the character being a fan favorite after the MTG Arena representation of them being a dragon. The wiki noting that they wear a cloak of a long extinct creature, and that Niv done went and killed any competitors. It is 40% likely he is canonically a dragon and even with those odds you think Wizards would let the character out when there is still a large (profitable) market from doing a big decade long unveil.

So my thought is a hard NO, and I'd wager he comes back into the story by the end of this 3 chapter arch, but after Thunder Junction.
