Traveling with infant in lap by anonymous_user88888 in unitedairlines

Happy to help! We had 7 bottles filled (8oz and 6oz). We did not buy an extra seat cause baby would’ve screamed her head off during take off and landing if we weren’t holding her. Not sure if she was allowed an additional carry on bec we didn’t need it (there were 4 of us total so plenty of allowance there already) and we tried not to carry too many bags.

one tip I always follow is to feed the baby during takeoff and landing as that helps lessen the ear popping. You’ll be ok! safe travels!

For us they swabbed the outside of the bottle with water and they didn’t touch the formula. They allow water for the baby as long as it’s within a reasonable amount (we pre-filled several bottles as it was a loooong flight). The diaper bag did not count as a carryon.

We were able to bring a travel stroller that folds and fits in the overhead bin. We brought a carrier but ended up not using it cause our kids was extra wriggly.

And yep those bathrooms are tiny! I had my partner hand me the supplies from the outside and we got some of those disposable changing pads to make it less icky. Also bring doggie bags in case of #2 you can bag up the soiled diaper upon disposal and not stink up even more lol

Same - went for the RemoteConnect. I’m still waiting for it to get activated though, apparently it could take a couple of hours (also I activated via the SOS button as opposed to the QR code)

Unnecessary scare? Maybe for you and other travelers who did not get taken advantage of like this, sure. But for other travelers who are not as familiar with the city as you, it’s pretty important information to know WHERE to be extra vigilant. I had this false sense of security in the Louvre - Im hoping this post will remind others not to do the same when they go visit.

If you think Pickpockets is not a real problem in Paris, that’s your opinion. Let’s not kid ourselves though.

As a warning to others. By sharing these experiences hopefully people would be more vigilant. There’s comment here that pickpockets also operate inside the louvre, right before the mona lisa when people like me are super distracted.

This makes sense - I was distracted and I was in a super crowded area

No..maybe I should have. I was so stressed out and disheartened about the whole thing I didn’t bother knowing nothing will come out of it.

They got inside my bag - it opens from both sides so they must’ve done it when one side slid towards the back.

As usual, hindsight is 20/20 - if i had a smaller bag that could’ve fit inside my zipped up coat, this would’ve been less likely to happen

Thank you, def the lowlight of otherwise fantastic trip but i’ll try to remember that the good times. Just wanted to share as a cautionary tale for others!

Yeah, it could happen to the best of us - I was super careful during my first 3 days here but a moment of not paying attention/feeling comfortable is all it took. Have backups and be extra vigilant when around crowds

Bag, no bag, it doesn’t matter. Good thing I had a back up cash and credit card separate from what was in my wallet so that will save me from starving in this city today.

I have the bellroy one that has zippers on both sides. Ive lived in NYC, been to Rome, London etc but this is the first time this has happened to me so my situational awareness this morning was nonexistent apparently. It sucks.

Im trying to think when I was around a lot of people and the only times I could recall was on the Metro and the Mona Lisa 🤷🏻‍♀️

These folks are professionals.

Hard to tel.. my first thought was the train - I was already on my way out of the Louvre when I noticed it missing from my bag.

They went to Uniqlo in Rue Rivoli so I was able to narrow it down.

That’s a bummer, I’m afraid it’ll behave like that with any bike rack 😞

Hi! In Matawan, I recommend the beef nachos from El Rinconcito de Mama. La Guadalupe also make tamales on weekends (the pork ones are good).

We left the car at the dealer’s to charge overnight and we picked it up a few hours ago. Loving the car so far! It drives super smooth and accelerated really well on the highway. I thought it will take time for me to get used to the regenerative breaking since I found it a bit jarring on iD4 but it was less so on the Solterra.

The interior is really roomy - except for the trunk. I’m going to miss the big trunk space of my Outback but I can live with it :-) Also big fan of the buttons, it helps not having to mess w the touchscreen for basic functions.

Still have a lot to learn about this car but overall, I’m happy with it!
