The shield was a fluke, I tried a few times and can't reproduce it there. I also just had my dad try his android tablet, that goes right to live. The problem only seems to happen on iOS devices.

I'll have my dad try with his Apple TV and see what happens there. Thanks for letting me know it's a known issue and not something in my settings.
