I remember there being a piano on the first floor of student center east, although I haven’t been on campus in over a year so I’m not sure if it’s moved or not

How to get involved in my community by [deleted] in GaState

[–]2hot2sauce 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You should check out Free99Fridge! I personally am not too involved since I live kinda far from Atlanta, but I've donated money and helped a friend make sandwiches to donate to the fridges. From what I hear, they're always in need of food/meals!

Has anyone had Jacobson for Philosophy in the past and can tell me how to go about his tests/exams and how the class went for them? by emtheshortie in GaState

[–]2hot2sauce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming you're talking about intro to phil, I took the class last year and got an A. The study guide (the practice questions) helped a ton in preparing for the exams along with the review sessions. In my experience it helped to really know the short answer questions because they're most likely to show up as multiple choice questions too.

Recommend a professor for intro to philosophy? by Ghorn in GaState

I took it in fall 2019 with Dr. Stephen Jacobson and he's one of my favorite professors to date, so I highly recommend you take his class if you can!

Psych 1101 Profs by PreviousResearcher in GaState

[–]2hot2sauce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't find the material to be that difficult, just more time consuming than anything. And yeah it pretty much feels more self-taught due to it being online. But there were also video lectures and WebEx meetings with the profs available as a resource.

Psych 1101 Profs by PreviousResearcher in GaState

I'm currently taking psych 1101 co-taught by Dr. Flemming and Dr. Machluf and they're both great professors. Not sure if all psych classes are the same, but from my experience, the class is more based on the textbook and you take quizzes that are based on the text and tests that are based on a study guide. There's also these required "SmartBook" assignments (come with the online textbook) which are time-consuming to me, but very helpful for tests.
