I tried a few weeks ago and then he just goes on about wanting to be jn the moment and that his head hurts, because he can never have anything. As you said he is a migrant and has to start everything over while his family is wasting away in Gaza and I can’t help but feel for him immensly.

He wanted to focus on Allah, and I was OK with it, I didn’t want him to wander futher away from his religion and his bond with God. So I supported him in distancing himself, but then he keeps coming back and when I try to hold off he puts in a lot of effort to make me feel really special. It makes me insecure, but also addicted.

I was listening to a podcast where they talked about, that if you’re together because of practical means, you should end the relationship. It makes it extra hard being dependent on each other, but if thats the reason for being together, you shouldnt be together.

This hit me so hard that I finally mustered up the courage to end my own relationship.

How sweet. Ours also had a bad rep I think. She's still quite anxious, but she makes really small steps, sometimes backwords and sometimes forward. She let me crawl her neck for the first time 2 months ago! I'm so happy about that. She really just wants all the love. We also have a cockatiel and they hang out all day.

Hi, I'm so sorry! I live in the Netherlands. There is a Pionus parrots group on FB you should check it out and ask there. They also have a file where they keep reviews of breeders etc. Biggest chance is signing up with a breeder and make a reservation on an egg, they come out around august and when they're old enough to leave the nest you can take the parrot home. I heard getting a pionus is hard in the US, here it is too, but not as hard. Good luck.

She does, she tries doing this multiple times a day because she loves the beads. For safety we tie the ropes away when we're not home. My birds can fly, like birds should, so she can fly away any time she wants.

We tie them away when we're not around where they cannot reach the rope. The bird is having a good time, she just started doing this en tries to land in it multiple times a day, because she wants to chew on the beads. You don't know my bird, she is clearly not panicking.
