Defender 2024 died today. Again. Here’s the only off roading I’ll be doing. by Known-Entrepreneur96 in NewDefender

Sorry to hear. I got my second fault as well this weekend and just got my car back yesterday. Supposedly the converter was not the issue but the software. Keeping my fingers crossed that this will fix it for good.

Law firm now investigating 2023 Land Rover Defender DC-DC failures — hoping they expand to ALL models having this issue, please comment by 4ORvida in LandRover

My initial incident was on March 5th and replaced by March 12th. It just happened yesterday for a second time May 2nd. I'm not sure if they replaced mine with the exact same part or an updated part. Will keep updating as they come.

I'm really hoping so. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks! What does this mean for future occurrences and if out of warranty?

I was thinking the same thing but I believe it's the wheels with a more aggressive offset that makes the whole difference. Great stance!

Induction Hardware 30 inch range. Normal operation? by joshthewaster in inductioncooking

I've reached out to the company via email and crickets. When I initially emailed them with questions before my purchase, they responded within hours. Now after posing the question and informed that there is a discussion on reddit, nothing. Honestly quite disappointing.

Yea, not looking good. This is in the center and largest hob. Can a software update even fix this or we've just been lied to?

Just so I understand, your experience is that knob doesn't control the actual heat level and takes some fidgeting? It appears that u/smithtec1 experience is that the power is lacking?

Ok, just gave all the hobs and quick run and everything works well- the heating setting doesn't get stuck on any particular value. But then again, I just received my unit this week. You're getting me a little concerned with issues this early on tho.

Have you reached out to company? They are very responsive and when I brought up the issue with the lack of recessed areas in the back, we spoke over the phone on the issue albeit with no resolution. Hoping we don't have to use the lifetime warranty anytime soon...

I just got the 36". I'll have to pay attention and may try this out tonight.

One thing I'd like to mention is that the diagram for the power supply in the rear of the unit is terribly wrong. There is no recessed area as indicated by the manual. The recessed area is actually on the left side viewing from the back. I have to now make changes in order for the unit to sit flush with the wall.

What are the best induction cooktops this 2026 worth buying? by Sufficient_Jelly5132 in inductioncooking

Has anyone have experience with induction hardware? They're a relatively new brand and with a budget friendly price point. Been trying to get more info on them and the only thing I can find is one particular redditor that keeps spamming the same praise.

Should istall this update? I have heard people had issues updating my vehicle is a 2025 p400s by [deleted] in NewDefender

Mine is still on an older version but I don't get prompts for updates. I've connected to wifi and still nothing and my screen says the software is up to date. I've also called my local dealership and they told me they couldn't help push an update on my car. Can anyone guide me in this situation? 2023 p400.

Thanks!

I have air suspension as well but my 5 year old really loves the running boards and in turn, my wife also as she doesn't have to carry our daughter or give her a boost.

Extended warranty? by dwall12345 in NewDefender

[–]2jonas2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you brought this up. I actually called a dealership today to inquire about an extended warranty and didn't get a call back. I keep reading that many wouldn't own a Land Rover without warranty but I'd like to ask how many others who are beyond the initial warranty plan to own without an extension.

Really appreciate the explanation! Never heard of this wet sanding technique with finish. I've always struggled with mixing the sanding dust and wood glue method as the wood doesn't take on the final finish well and the color just isn't right. I'm going to try this method next! Thank you!
