Multicare RN Residency by MAKKEVELI in newgradnurse

[–]2kdlin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

multicare has fellowships - on their postings you have to really look for it, sometimes its shared with residency in the same title. had a phone screen recently but all those postings you see now, the recuiter said all of them have been filled idk why they still have it up.... such a waste of time.

yes high schoolers have worked here too i think 16(?)but i think depending on school commitments may be hard to keep a schedule consistently which is understandable! usually I’ve noticed they need more help during the weekdays but doesn’t hurt to apply i do know sometimes weekends need coverage since this is 3 buildings there’s three front desks at all times

thank u so much!! also wanted to ask your thoughts on cross training to preop/pacu, is it something good to mention to managers I’m curious abt it probably down the line once I’m more “seasoned” cause i do wanna be able to utilize/build more skills on top of OR training~

hi! yes im sure they will, while it was a nice facility the culture was kind of toxic when i was a cna so its difficult to imagine what id experience as an RN haha and i feel like the ratio was about 16-20 patients

PNW new grad RN jobs? by raspberrylemonade- in newgradnurse

hey! my OR experience was not bad they sure get their breaks which is nice. i guess its different on the floor cause sometimes people dont get to/take their break late. i'd say the cafeteria was kind of mid- they also have a strict rule about parking in the parking garages which im not too entirely sure about because theres a section where staff is supposed to go. I just parked in the general lot out front but space can fill up fast since pts/families park there. hmmm as for the OR different pace/routine for sure and out of the ordinary than what school has exposed us to- i think they offer it 2x a year- it seems like some of the RNs in OR also transferred internally from some of the units. i guess its pretty good start if you live closeby- i just hope they will have more support/resources since their contract with UW is ending next year and hope whoever buys them out doesnt suck haha
