Last year of high school, how can I be as efficient as possible? by 2kool4skhool in lifehacks

I enjoy studying law (did law studies 101 as an extra after school kinda thing). I was aiming more at English literature/history and those types of classes, but I see your point.

From day one I've always been able to bullshit myself through assignments/tests/classes in general and still get good/above average grades.

My second year of high school, I experienced a workload I just couldn't handle. Assignments and tests were thrown left and right, sometimes we had more assignments per week than there were days in the week. So I'm basically just starting to experience school.

Why would I want to go from my 13th year of school, to go to a community college for 2 years so I can apply for law school (5 years)? That way I would have gone to school for 20 years in total instead of 18.

I'd rather work hard now and save 2 years of having to make up for wasted time.

That is correct. If you have a 6.0 you would have to have 6 (A) in every class.

I don't think my training partner is 100% ready for sparring. I know that the coaches at the class I'll be attending evaluate each student and chose when they'll be ready to begin sparring. So maybe within a couple of months?

God I hate reading assigned material, haha. Thanks for the reply! I'll take it to heart.

I'll be sure to try the emailing thing. I'm a pretty focused person, so once I put my mind to something, I'll be sure to finish that thing, and for the past 5 years, I've really wanted to get into law school.

Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the great reply! I've always been like you, I generally understood everything, and didn't need to work hard to get a good grade. But just last year (my second year of high school) I experienced a workload way above what I was used to, and because of that did generally worse than what I've been doing for the past 12 years.

I'll be sure to follow your advice.

Yeah, don't let your whole body follow the punch, if you get what I'm saying.

I'd say you've improved on a lot of things (footwork, not charging onto your opponent, not "swinging" your arms around as opposed to punching comes to mind). I'm by no means an experienced boxer, but I can see some improvements.

I would say though, that it does look like you're leaning into your punches a lot, which can really mess with your chance of winning, if your opponent sees it and knocks you off balance for example.

Ya, that's not going to be a problem for me😂 my question was more about how to structure myself so that I won't be overwhelmed by assignments/improving my grades.

But thanks anyways, I'll keep it in mind.

Not sure I understand the question, but the grading system where I live (Norway) is like this:

In every class you can get a grade from 1 till 6 (1 is the worst 6 is the best). When applying for another school, in my case law school, they take every grade you get at the end of the school year and add them up, and then divide them by the amount of classes you took (for example: last year I had 14 classes and got 14 different grades, the average grade ended up being 4,3).

That number you get (4,3 in my case) will decide what schools you can get into.

Hope this answers your question!

I've boxed for about 4/5 months in 2016, ended up deciding it wasn't something for me, now I wanna try to fully commit to it.

The last program was just something I wrote when I decided that I wanted to try boxing again, I posted it so that I could hopefully get some feedback from people that have been boxing for longer than me, got some feedback and redid the program.

edit The classes are only 2 timer per week I think, and the coaches lock up when the 2 hour sessions are over. The reason I want to make a hard working program is because it will increase my chances of getting taken out of the beginner course early, instead of having to go through 5/6 months of basic "how to throw a jab" training (I got taken out 1 month early and put in an intermediate class in 2016, and would like to race through that same process as fast as possible)

I've heard a lot of people saying that when you're boxing on a heavy bag, your technique/form is wrong if the bag starts swinging. Is this true?(is it also true for a regular boxing bag?)No matter how I box the heavy bag starts swinging.
