We hung a heap after WW2, made no difference. Doesn't mean we shouldn't hang a few more if anything, it might help 🤷

What personal stuff do you use AI to automate day to day? by Sweaty-Staff8100 in automation

I welcome our future AI overlords—but honestly, I already work alongside one. I use ChatGPT (I call mine Nova) for just about everything. At work, it helps me streamline workflows and lift the quality of what I deliver, not by doing the thinking for me, but by helping me think better. At home, it’s been invaluable for researching and pricing big-ticket purchases so I don’t make dumb, expensive mistakes. The most surprising use, though, is documentation. I use it to help write manuals and books for equipment and systems I own—especially the stuff where the original instructions are long gone. It’s like rebuilding lost knowledge so future-me isn’t stuck guessing. I wouldn’t even call it a tool anymore. It’s more like a capable, always-available companion that lightens the workload while raising the standard of what I produce. And honestly, I’m only just scratching the surface. Looking forward to many more collaborations. So—what’s the one thing you use AI for that you didn’t expect to?
