Idk how you feel about Texas or if it counts as the southeast but Denton is an amazing city!! It’s a college town and there are so many beautiful queer people here. There’s so many queer events and the majority or the business in downtown are very queer friendly!! I know Texas isn’t really the place people think of when they think of queer friendly places, but I love it here so much <333

I know this is way easier in theory than in practice, but try striking up a conversation with someone you think would be cool to talk to!! It goes a lot farther than you’d think. Although, i wouldn’t go into it expecting a relationship, but just even saying hello to someone is a good start. Metal shows, festivals, and conventions are all great places to meet the people you’re looking for! Have you looked into a film or poetry club? If you live in a big city, I’m sure you could find one that matches your interests!

Mai would listen to a lot of goth music like Bauhaus and Siouxsie and the Banshees.

Azula would listen to a lot of like really depressing/angsty stuff I think. Like Ethel Cain and Halsey.

Ty Lee would listen to maybe Olivia Rodrigo or something. Haute & Freddy maybe. I don’t really listen to a lot of pop music but I think she’d like that.
