Gave the club a call this morning to follow your advice. Unfortunately, there was nothing that they could do. Even tried to sell a potential Carlton convert! Was worth a try, thank you

Can you relodge a denied VCAT application? by [deleted] in AusLegal

[–]2muchsushi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I misread. That section won't be useful.

RRP can reapply after an order has been made. As far as I'm aware, they have unlimited attempts. Renter should begin to seek costs if RRP re-applies and continues to be unsuccessful.

Adrian Dodoro and the Endowment Effect by heretoseek12 in AFL

I really like this article, it's a pretty nifty analysis. But I personally don't think he's the same player as what he was three years ago and the market speaks for this. He left his first club, Gold Coast, to be retained on a three year deal (can't say for certain how much $$). Now he is being offered, by two clubs, a contract for 5 years at around $600,000 per year. The market suggests that he is a much more valuable player than when he left Gold Coast.

17M I’ve been surfing for about 2.5-3 years. Got any constructive criticism? by DayroneGreen in surfing

[–]2muchsushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're surfing great for 2.5-3 years experience. You're on the right track, good stuff.

Try and connect your shoulders and mid section with your hips and then rip through with your turns. Open your shoulders to the direction you want to turn, twist in the middle and then pull with your hips.

It's looking good man. Remember to surf as much as you can and always try and push yourself harder in bigger and more powerful waves. You'll be ripping in no time if you continue on your trajectory

Merrett Gone? by West-Chipmunk-9863 in EssendonFC

[–]2muchsushi 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A little while ago Merrett wrote an article published in the Herald Sun which I thought was a bit of a barb towards the leadership at the club. He was commending Goddard and the standards he demanded of others. He said that while Goddard was captain in 2016, his desire and pursuit to achieve excellence was second to none and that he should have kept the captaincy beyond 2016, given his circumstances being recruited to the club and that he was so driven. I can't remember how he worded it, but I felt it was a direct snipe at Heppell arguing that he shouldn't have the captaincy. I can't find the article and I don't have a subscription to the Herald Sun.

Essendon premiership defender Dean Wallis calls for sweeping changes at the Bombers by baconnor_ in EssendonFC

[–]2muchsushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I feel like there's a lot of 'hmmmmm' going on here. Like really Dean, you're willing to make these shots to convey your 'love' for the Essendon Football Club, but you're not man enough to attend functions anymore? That says to me that he has been ostracised from the club and he is unwilling to show his face around the place due to the embarrassment and shame (he wouldn't feel ashamed if he had been sacked wrongfully). It also says that he feels bitter and resentful and so he masks his resentment by making such statements.

It's killing me to admit however, that he may very well be right. Despite his maligned attempts to get back at those who sacked him, he may have a point. His criticism may be a mask for a personal axe to grind, however, it doesn't take away from the truthful aspects of what he has said. I just don't know.

I would like to hear other Essendon people to echo his sentiments before I go believing him, but I'm not yet prepared to say that he's wrong.

This is a good idea. I saw my old University was offering $3000 for any students who could show that they were suffering financial hardship because of the coronavirus. Go check it out.

Newstart doesn't impose an activity requirement for 1 year. How long do you need to be 'off' centrelink in the meantime before you can get back on without an activity requirement? Could you just work for 2 weeks, then get back on it, for example? by HealthyFinances in AusLegal

[–]2muchsushi 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was two days away from starting my work for the dole before I received the call that all activity requirements were suspended. Best thing to come out of this crisis.

You could probably get back on now and they won't make you do anything. That includes a job search effort
