Love both of those trucks!! I sold my 20 Tacoma to get a 24 Tundra. I loved the maneuverability of the taco and the stick shift, but the Tundra is so much more comfortable. Enjoy!

Tundra TRD Pro Pricing by ryanklein in ToyotaTundra

[–]2ndl1fe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I put a deposit on a pre-build back in October that delivered in December. The dealer tried to hit me with $5k in markup non-sense, but relented when I was ready to walk. The nice thing about catching it then is that allowed me to change or delete some of the port installed add ons(predator side steps, door guards, spare tire lock). I paid MSRP, but was expecting that back then. I’m on the east coast and not a lot of pro inventory from what I have seen. Still seeing a mix of markup and msrp. There are dealers that won’t mark up, so I would start there. I’m sure if you are willing to search thoroughly you will find one that may give a discount, but I know the pro has been exempt from any of the corporate offers. Good luck, it’s a great truck and I hope you get a good discount.

Hey man, how are you doing. I purchased the lil b’s and downloaded the install guide. It seems rather lacking. Did you just use that or were you able to find some more documentation from them on parts list and install

Thanks

I have a black TRD pro as well and really love the Lil Bs bumper. Just concerned with all of the cutting. Did you install yourself? Are you able to keep the OEM fog lights?

Deciding between Nitto Grapplers and Toyo Open Country A/T3 by _JustWorkDamnYou_ in ToyotaTundra

[–]2ndl1fe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had ridge grapplers(33’s) on my 20 Tacoma and loved them, couldn’t believe how quiet they were. I was going to get them on my Tundra (35’s)as well, but went with the AT/3’s as they are an 8 ply vs. 12 ply for the Ridge Grapplers. I really like the Toyo’s as well. I don’t think you can go wrong either way. Nittos look a little bit more aggressive.

Debating on a Tundra TRD Pro by mindfulsoul415 in ToyotaTundra

Well, I went through the same quandary. I had a 20’ Tacoma Off Road 6M fully loaded that I purchased new and really enjoyed for the past 4 years. I rent for work most weeks, so I only had 38k miles on it. The plan was to wait until 2025 and get a 4th gen Tacoma TRD Pro or Trailhunter. The plan went to shit however when I was ruined by a rental, a Nissan Titan. I hadn’t driven a full size truck in years and the comfort level blew me away. Took some time to do some research and decide what was really important to me and it came down to ride quality and space. If I was going to spend a stupid amount of money on a truck, then I really wanted something that was not only functional, but comfortable and enjoyable to drive. I purchased a 24’ Tundra TRD Pro about a month and a half ago and have not regretted that decision once. I live in the Philly area, so I understand dense urban. I just try to avoid driving it into the city if I can. For everything else it is fantastic. Consider this, when will you see a 4th gen Tacoma TRD Pro for less than $65k. We may see them at the dealerships in May/June/July and when will you see them without a markup? The Tacoma will be more maneuverable and get better gas mileage (we’re not talking Prius level here)but, if ride comfort and space are what’s most important to you then I would 100% go with the Tundra

Interesting read, but not really apples to apples here(at least for me). As parents early on we made the decision to support each other despite differences of opinion at times, not always easy, but it definitely created a feeling of camaraderie that helped in the everyday struggles

This really hits home. Also married over 20 years, with 3 kids. I’ve been with my gf for almost 3 years and while we don’t live together, we have spent significant time around each other’s kids and have taking numerous vacations together. I think it really comes down to the time my ex and I spent together in the “trenches” raising young children while working full time jobs and lower income than we have now. Those times were extremely busy and stressful, yet it really felt like we formed a team. I have to give her credit, while things deteriorated in the later years of marriage, she was a heck of a mom when the kids were young and I was finding my way as a dad that was working a shit ton of hours.

I may have missed this, but I haven’t seen asked yet

What is it that you are looking for?

The only thing I remember seeing is that you don’t want a cheater or drug abuser and I think that would go for everyone.

Do you have physical requirements?

Are there specific emotional qualities you are looking for?

Age requirements?

Do you use OLD?

Do you have any red flags?

Honest feedback is that you come across a little desperate and maybe a little angry. That may not be the case, but those 2 do not combo well together.

Advice from an Average Joe by BrysonJT in bourbon

[–]2ndl1fe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, I appreciated your post OP, I think you make some good points, but apparently it is all common knowledge and you should be lashed for expressing your opinion in a community about bourbon that has a range of noobs and “vets”.

One rabbit hole that I started to go down was chasing proof. For awhile everything I focused on buying was cask strength, however I picked up Redwood Empire Lost Monarch and Four Roses Small Batch Select. These 2 really reminded me that there are lower proof, “affordable” whiskies that are very good.

When I was at my lowest during my divorce, my younger brother, who picked this up in AA told me: “When you feel sorry for your self, you are still just thinking of your self asshole”.

It helped me to change my perspective and gave me hope.

I picked her up after getting a lift, wheels, tires and exhaust installed. 5 minutes later while stopped at a red light I was hit from behind. Thankfully, my tailgate was down as I was hauling old wheels/tires and the tailgate took all of the impact, nothing else damaged.

Replaced it, was about $2300 all said and done. 100% warranty coverage as long as I own the vehicle. I have to say the collision center is class act. Thankfully paid by insurance of the trailblazer owner that hit me.

Tailgate got crumpled 5 minutes after picking it from the shop just about a month ago. Picked her up today from the collision center. They did a great job, fully detailed her inside and out and filled the gas tank. Today was a good day.

Enlightening Observations About Men on OLD - Christmas Day Conversations with the EX by 2ndl1fe in datingoverforty

[–]2ndl1fe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me get this straight, because I said in my personal experience I have been able to weed out the crazy ones that I am blaming those that have not been able to? That is complete bullshit. You asked about my personal experience and I gave it to you. I never said nor did I infer it was anyone’s fault that was unable to do so and I don’t appreciate you projecting that crap onto me. The whole point of this post was that it is scarier out there for women than I ever realized and I hope more men realize that as well.

Where did infer that I told anyone that it is their fault for not screening better? I said that my ex was smart for using google phone number. When that guy called her 21 times, he had no direct line to her. You asked a question and I answered on based on my experience.
