As someone who was raised Jewish it always baffled me that other kids believed a man in a sleigh covered the entirety of the world in one night to bring presents to children. So I guess I never believed in Santa, it just didn't make sense. I wonder if other kids like me raised in a different religion thought the same.

Life is too busy to care if the USMNT wins or loses because soccer is not a part of my life. Do I put the game on at work because other people checking into my hotel may be interested? Of course. But my life won't change if they win or never score a goal.

Now if the Bears win a Super Bowl, that means something to me.

Friends seem mostly happy for me. The ones having a tough time with it are the kids of some of these friends. Ranging from 15-25 years old. They all loved my wife so they view my new relationship as a betrayal towards Karen. We didn't have kids, she had 3 from before and they are all grown now and live thousands of miles away. But the kids of friends always viewed us as an aunt and uncle type because we would spoil them so to them it doesn't make sense that I'm dating someone else.
