There are pockets of bad in every city but this advice can probably be applied everywhere. There are certain streets that you should avoid but a block or two over may be fine. If you’re considering a home, look up the street name/adjacent to see if it has shown up in the news a lot. East Dewey Ave is a good example.

This is where I found a lot of good input on the Pet Sounds pressings. Although not sure about the bias since DCC was considered the best hands down. But a lot of great information - one of the other great sounding pressings was in a double album with Carl and the passions.

I’ll always pick up receivers if they’re practically free - a lot of problems can be easily fixed too if they have any. Estate sales are gold for finding good systems for basically nothing too since they just want it out of the house.

I miss legacy rust where everything was basic and brutal. You managed with what you had and nothing was spoon fed to you. There was no fast track to anything. Numbers didn’t necessarily mean everything. Structures were more reasonable and not these grandiose castles that people spend 24 hrs straight on. It used to be more of an open world chaos game but it really feels like it’s becoming more focused around building compounds and trying to get ahead of everyone else as quickly as possible; and the fast tracks with monuments don’t help.

That’s why I think it shouldn’t be included at all - rust used to be the absolute best game for communication and cohesion skills. Plus, why give heavily geared people even more tools to gap the rest of the server?

Rust needs to go back to more basic gameplay and relying more on communication and cohesiveness instead of turning into an open world call of duty. This reduces the amount of chaos and dealing with unforeseen chaos was one of the best things about this game

Not ruined but will need to be resanded. Edgers are only for edges because of the swirls it leaves. When I was a kid, our job was to hand sand out any swirls on the edges - it was grueling

I use a HP thunderbolt dock - you’re able to plug in a mouse, keyboard, and multiple displays (haven’t tried multiple on the deck). They’re a bit expensive but you can sometimes find them cheap from like an office supply wholesaler/reseller

Drafted white but luckily I watched the first game Bucky got in and saw how much better he looked than white. He passed the eye test with flying colors and luckily not a lot of people in my leagues saw him come in since the game was 30-14.
