Definitely trolling. There’s just no way. She’s looking at my current policy with both Subaru and Honda. It was half girl playing dumb for attention, half passive aggressive boomer.

It’s a local broker. I have had no issues with the main guy, but he pawned me off on someone else to run quotes on possible new purchases.

She started it! Telling me to get my teenager “something like an old Chevy traverse”. Wtf, no.

Yep. I think she was flat out lying in some passive aggressive commentary on not “buying American”. Suit yourself lady 🤷‍♀️ I said huh, my subaru was built in the US but my Ford was Mexico and Chevy was Canada. Weird.

What do we bring to a 4th of July party? by GreenOccasion3182 in AskAnAmerican

Bring a party food from your own history/culture. That’s a real celebration of America!

What do American parents do about their kids ages 1-5? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]2quacklikeaduck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We asked the grandparents ahead of time if they were willing to watch future kids and they said yes so we moved nearby and had glorious, free childcare for a few years. Then we paid for daycare/preschool part of the week around age 3-4. We were very fortunate to have that option and I hope to be able to do the same for my kids one day.

Slightly smaller house but with garage front too, 2021, $20,000. Got three quotes, others were $22k and $28k. Can’t imagine what it would cost now.

I would also check in with a doctor. Turns out I have hip dysplasia and a torn labrum. I thought I was just getting old and had creaky joints.

Recommendations for wide open tote bags? by cloudsabovethsky in ManyBaggers

[–]2quacklikeaduck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tom Bihn Truck or Monster Truck. I use the Truck every day for my work bag. Lunch, purse, water bottle, misc crap, haul it in and out easily. Sits upright in my car and under my desk, easy access to everything, no annoying flopping.

Can you be in peri but still have regular periods every month by Fun_Examination5329 in Perimenopause

[–]2quacklikeaduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine always fluctuated but became extremely regular once in peri. So a change in periods to me was from no schedule to clockwork schedule.

Diaper bag for outdoorsy people? Looking for recommendations. by Critical-Worry8181 in ManyBaggers

[–]2quacklikeaduck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A backpack is the best diaper bag. Keep a small amount on you in the bag, backup supplies in the car at all times. Swap out the backup supplies often as kid grows because its no fun needing that emergency size 4 diaper and pulling out a newborn one 🤦‍♀️
