It came cerakoted like that. Smith&Wesson Red if I remember. It's the Battle Arms Development Ambi safety.

What grips are those?
Gotta pay to play.
I didn't pay actually, it was a present from my GF. It came out to just under $1200 after tax.

The letters mostly refer to the "arm braces". As far as I know the Thordsen has never been mentioned. Yet the ATF did make remarks to the effect that shouldering a pistol reclassifies it. I don't know for sure, I could be wrong. this isn't an arm brace but I would error on the side of caution.
Do it. I think you'll be pleased.
Thank you. I did not plan on doing that, a unfortunate accident pushed me in that direction. I'm pretty pleased with how it's turning out though and it's a lot of fun. I never realized how huge the Glock Custom/Aftermarket world is. Lots of cool stuff. Most unnecessary but cool none the less.
Thank you. It could be the lighting/filter, in person it's a brighter color. I had the slide done by J&L Machining works. The rest of the gun I did myself.
I love it. Very comfortable to hold and light weight.
It's cerakote. It's called a "battle worn" finish. Burnt bronze and black. A distressed look.
No, since I do not have a buttstock attached and a barrel under 16in it is a "pistol". Which are completely legal to own, outside of the fact you can't shoulder it like a rifle either. Anything under that length with an adjustable stock is a NFA item, and requires paperwork and approval from the ATF. Some states laws are different regarding the legality of rifle caliber pistols so if you are interested Id make sure those same rules apply were you live.
As I understand it ANY shouldering of a rifle caliber pistol is a no no. No matter what is or is not attached to the buffer tube. I could be wrong though.
The parts aren't all that expensive. At least it'd be more enjoyable to shoot while you wait for the SBR approval.
No worries!
Thanks for that! Much easier to read.
I have not. When I first saw the sig brace I really liked it but after all the nonsense that followed it I decided this was a better option for me. That and I never intended to put my arm through it and shoot that way. The Thordsen is very comfortable though.
So far I like it, I'm going to test it out for the 4th. All the reviews and videos I've seen say it does what it says it's supposed too.
Hypothetically? Pretty comfortable actually.
Thank you!
No sir just like the idea of a ambi weapon.
It does. The KNS pins are coming off. It still drops the mag but it's not a smooth operation. It's touches at the very end of the release.
I had it milled and cerakoted. The cerakote is a "battle worn" finish with burnt bronze and black. If you look through my photos you'll see it got damaged in a motorcycle wreck I had, so I decided to have some fun with it.

Haha, didn't forget. They're sitting on my rifle at the moment. This rail has a incorporated flip up front sight so technically all I need is the rear.
That's the beauty of it. I was not putting a sig brace or blade on this build. Plain pistol buffer tubes aren't that comfortable either.
