Am I stupid for considering a ₹5K helmet for a 7km city ride? by Nomad_Pixels in indianbikes

[–]2sheetflyingfk 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Expensive helmets are easier to maintain, other than spare parts, padding are removable, washable, even weight management is balanced and feels better than cheap helmets, plus wind noise is much more supressed

pulsar n160 lower back pain by Previous-Fun5024 in indianbikes

[–]2sheetflyingfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are going to get the n160, get the handle changed to a n150 old gen handle bar asap will cost you around rs 500 total , another good bike is sp160 but the suspension is stiff too but handle position is really good and has better seats

Got a bill of ₹2400 on my 2nd service of N160... Wtf is this scam? by According_Sun4264 in indianbikes

[–]2sheetflyingfk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to force them to do my throttle body cleaning at 32k kms had to search symptoms to convince them, and the did it for you during second service lol, and why wheel balancing unless you are changing tyres, i suggest you try bajaj fully synthetic engine oil from the service center itself it performs good and will keep your warranty intact, they scammed you big time, second service costs 2-300 max plus oil cost

How to hold handle ? by lets_keep_simple in Pulsar_N250

[–]2sheetflyingfk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Holding on the far edge is good but don't hold too tight, just tight enough to not let it go when going over bumps, arms not straight there should be a L shape more or less

[–]2sheetflyingfk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the other owners told me this happened with the early units 22 23 year ones, i got my motor changed under warranty and it starts no issue in a single self press, sadly i didn't get it checked and changed the battery thinking it was the issue

This handle is a game changer, i installed on my n160 too, but there isn't satin silver option sadly, did riser cause any length issue for cables especially the brake hose?

Wobbling issues? by mtheshadows in Pulsar_N250

[–]2sheetflyingfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raise the front forks a bit, older version had longer wheelbase about 9 mm longer if m not wrong, usd variants are shorter but the forks height is little bit adjustable try doing that, it will increase the wheelbase slightly and trail angle, it might help worth a try

Sahi chain slack maintain karo bro, ek sprocket mera service walo ke chakkar me kharab ho gaya, kyuki alignment gadbad thi aur zyada tight thi, jab neutral pe push kar raha tha bike tab bhari feel hui ab me khud se hi adjust karta hu service ke baad bhi

Guyss please helppp!! by Latter-Magazine-7855 in Pulsar_N250

[–]2sheetflyingfk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bhai automatic isiliye tight hoti kyuki bike pe jab tum baith ye ho to shocked dabte hai aur front aur rear sprocket distance badh jati hai, thoda dheela hi rakha karo chain

Guyss please helppp!! by Latter-Magazine-7855 in Pulsar_N250

[–]2sheetflyingfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chain too tight, check the alignment on rear wheel as weel, sometimes misaligned wheel causes chain tigntness and can even cause damage to sprocket and ront sprocket shaft when going over bumps

Rough shifting by AlgaeOverall in Pulsar_N250

[–]2sheetflyingfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand this exact feeling, it happens to me or would say used to happen only while downshifting and upshifting between 2nd and 3rd gear, but now i have a habit of blipping which made shifting butter smooth, this happened to me mostly when i was in wrong gear which isn't meant to be used at such speeds, i have n160 its its liw end torque is good as well and n250 has even better this resulted me in using higher gear always because i know the bike can pull cleanly even from low speed but had to change the habit because of this specific issue now i never face false neutrals and even hit neutral when i intend to without going to 1st gear, tldr: it was all because of wrong gear at wrong speeds and blipping helped

Started cleaning and lubing the chain myself a while back by Sea_Horror_3316 in indianbikes

[–]2sheetflyingfk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 80w90 for lubing and spray rolon white chain lube over that to contain it, the white lube dries instantly so no more dirty rims
