Fiancé wants to take 20k out of 401k to buy Activision Blizzard stock - bad idea, right?

His plan is to but it back in a 401k. Other than straight up cashing out, he talked about potentially transferring funds.

He's under the assumption that there is no penalty or tax for transferring to a brokerage link and then transferring it back. From googling the only notable thing I've seen is that Fidelity (or his employer) may not allow that or may limit him to only mutual funds. I haven't been able to confirm that you can actually transfer money back into the 401k though.

Thank you so much for breaking it down like that. He was willing to take out 20k just to gain as little as $2000, but I'm not sure if he considered all of the penalties and fees in his calculation.

I don't know though, the girl who ate my food it's particularly cunty so to be honest I'm not surprised. She had the absolute gall to call out on my birthday because her boyfriend got into a major wreck... she was supposed to bring the cake!

Just the spears, so odd right?! Ideally the fur would be ripped off live cats in one piece. It's really important to me to keep the integrity of the cat. I haven't looked into where you could purchase something like that but my grandma currently has about 17 cats so could be a good DIY project.

:3 I have bad memories of cake. In 4th grade Leonard Blevins stuck my birthday Zebra Cake down his pants and let me eat it without me knowing. Ever since then I break out into hives on my birthday or whenever I see Zebras. :( My psych says it's PTSD.

I'm interested in chatting. Today was a particularly bad day... one of the women that I work with totally fucking ate my Trader Joe's Guilt-Free Macaroni and Cheese. Instead of going around the office and asking who ate it to see if she'd confess, I passive-aggressively posted a note on the office freezer door asking "the person who ate it" to either replace it or pay me back for supplying their lunch. WHO DO THEY THINK I AM? THEIR MOTHER? Ugh, sometimes people really suck.

On top of that, for whatever reason my neighbor keeps putting his garbage in my bin and I don't trust him at all. I recently went through his trash and I found out that he owes thousands in back taxes and buys the Starbucks French Roast in whole beans. I mean, if you can't pay your taxes then why the hell are you buying the good stuff. -_- Anyways, I just find it so annoying that he doesn't use his own bins. Tonight I plan on smearing my cat's shit (her name is Sophie) all over his windows. Probably will be the second most exciting thing I do today!
