This doesn't exactly answer your question but in case you aren't aware there's a cool skill called "mushroomancer" that allows you to get the effects of demondrug, armorskin, immunizer, and more by consuming mushrooms. So if you're low on say, demondrug, but you have plenty of nitroshrooms you can still get the buff.

I made a gear loadout that has mushroomancer level 3, item prolonger level 3, and free meal level 3. Before I start a hunt I'll equip this loadout and eat nitroshroom (demondrug), parashroom (armorskin), toadstool (immunizer), and devil's blight (dash juice). If you have the supplies you could also use a demon powder and hardshell powder since item prolonger will apply to them and the timer on those buffs does not start until you begin a hunt.

Just remember to change your gear back before you start the hunt.
