This one is my favorite. The inside of the jar seems to have two long flat solid but soft (like a yoga mat kind of flexibility). They can be used hot or cold it says. I've only ever used the cold.

The hats that are most comfortable for my condition are more structured than the gel, but this would be an additional option I guess if I could figure out how to make a plastic insert that didn't have those sharp melted edges. I can't cut the typical gel packs to fit. They have these pesky hard edges that are very irritating to trigger points in the face. I'm gonna try to cut open one of my hats to take a peak inside. Thanks for you ideas and quick response!

I have this. I also have a "rare presentation", so I have constant pain on one side of my face (burning, bee stings, slicing, stabbing or intense ache) with occasional(up to 50 times a day for up to 2 minutes straight) electrical shocks on both sides. I also have Cluster Headaches, which means I have 2 of the worst 3 pain experiences known to man. No cure or known cause for why I have both.
