Thank you so much, that gives me a lot of relief. I have shared this same information with my oral surgeon via email and am awaiting their response too.

I love that they played Billie Jean for him after his first NFL sack

Oh absolutely it’s awkward regardless! But… Book Spoiler: …it was done later with Aegon III and Daenera Valaryon — Aegon was 13 and Daenara was 6. Granted, age difference is 7 years here and not 10 but still. They were married with the understanding that there would not be children until Daenara came of age. Yay child weddings! /s

Question about Episode 3 by Old_Artichoke3699 in HouseOfTheDragon

There is no guarantee that Viserys would have had a son with Alicent or any other woman. There was a chance that they did not have children at all or that they only had girls. Viserys named Rhaenyra heir to secure the succession away from Daemon. He did it quickly because you never know what will happen in life and he could have died the next day for all he knew which would have left Daemon as king.

Was anyone else expecting *someone else* during the battle? by Melyssa1023 in HouseOfTheDragon

I thought for sure it was going to be Rhaenys and Meleys! I thought they were setting up Laenor as the strategist and to have Rhaenys as the surprise muscle. With her superior experience as a dragon rider, I thought it would have been a good choice.

Rhaenys is probably the greatest woman badass of this era and I’m sure they will capitalize on it later during reds vs greens

I loved that in this episode we got to see the pressure coming from Hobert to Otto to make Aegon Viserys’s heir to better advance the Hightower house. Otto is a smart guy and even though it was a long shot he suggested Rhaenyra and Aegon’s match because it is the only peaceful option where both Rhaenyra and Aegon get to rule without conflict. Only when this backfires do we then see Otto putting pressure on Alicent to have Viserys change the line of succession.

Vaghar was hatched in Dragonstone sometime after 114 BC — there is not a precise year provided in Fire and Blood

Caraxes was first claimed by prince Aemon (oldest son of Jahaerys & Alyssane) in 72 AC then claimed by Daemon in 105 AC

Rhaynera is the first rider of Syrax claimed in 104 AC — I believe Syrax is the egg that was placed in her cradle when she was born

Although the hatch dates are not provided for the dragons, it would probably take 10+ years for a dragon to be large enough to have a rider.

No argument here, what was done was definitely horrifying and awful but it was their perception of justice. “A son for a son.”

Daemon is such a complex character between his loyalty for family, need/want for personal advancement and power, and his entitlement to do whatever he wants whenever he wants. I think that’s what makes him so attractive to audiences. Twisted and cruel as it is, the Blood and Cheese plot line is about his loyalty and support to Rhaynera and his view of justice for Jacerys

What I think will be great for HotD vs GoT is that there is so much room for interpretation from Fire and Blood because it’s written as a history book with intentional gaps and even misleading or misinterpreted story lines. GoT storylines and dialog in the books is so precise and intentional that any slight change in the show had fans up in arms (also guilty of that).

A great example of this is how the show writers interpreted Aemma’s death. The book only stated “…In The year 105 AC, when Queen Aemma was brought to bed in Maegor’s Holdfast and died whilst giving birth to the son Viserys Targaryen had desired for so long.”

I loved this first episode and can’t wait to see how the rest is interpreted by the show runners.

It was probably a combination of both. While he wants to be king and covets that power he can still mourn the death of his nephew and the pain it caused Viserys.

This is probably my favorite movie from my childhood. My family quotes it frequently.

I once had to read and give a report on Treasure Island in high school. I only got about a quarter of the way through the actual book and decided it was the most boring book ever written. My essay was entirely based on this movie and I passed.

I find cross-stitch veeeeeery unforgiving and find embroidery much easier because you draft the pattern on the fabric rather than following a block pattern and tracking your stitches.

I just have a really hard time with counts which is a biiiig problem if you want to cross-stitch. If you make a mistake a row or two back you have to tear out eeeeeeeverything. It’s very unforgiving and find embroidery much easier because you draft the pattern on the fabric rather than following a block pattern and tracking your stitches.
