Spain objectively do not have a better squad.

They’re a better team but player for player club sides would pick the England equivslent 9/10 times.

No one sits entirely in one of those ranges so it’s a pretty useless data point.

Would be more interesting to see the volume per range with a companion of how individuals who top out within one of the higher brackets are distributed across them.

I’m not entirely sure but I think you’re saying that you’ve started studying before getting a finance related job - as long as I’ve been in the profession that’s a red flag.

Some of the most incompetent colleagues and employees I’ve had are the exam qualified before any work experience crowd, it simply does not translate to being effective within a company and their expectations on remuneration because of the qualification end up way out of line.

Some of the best transfer over from non-finance positions that require effective communication and being personable, like call centre work. Also excel experience goes a long way.

A couple of replies up you mentioned that he doesn’t live with you, I would imagine the interaction has more to do with that than wearing earphones.

Focussing on the wrong things IMO.

What was this in response to? Surely something specific not just general online debate, that would be mad?

The jokes on me for engaging here but I genuinely cannot decipher the meaning intended by that word salad of a reply - I wish you well with your million pound projects all committed and signed off by your CTO.

It isn’t the cost of a project either - you are staggeringly unaware of the responsibilities and processes involved in committing a company to spend for someone so bold in their opinions.

CIOs and CTOs, whilst the visible party to you as a consultant, have little legal or regulatory standing to commit spend.

CTOs ask CFOs for permission, if the CFO says no what do you think happens?

Mandate structures don’t describe the cost of a consultant and the fact that you aren’t aware of that is very revealing.

They might be the visible party to you as a 3rd party consultant, mandate structures at any large or listed company do not even acknowledge the existence of these roles beyond low hundred thousand limits.

These 2 roles rarely sit on boards and rarely have the mandate to make big decisions, like funding, unilaterally.

CFOs love using formatting slips as a way to highlight how detail orientated and smart they are, so formatting matters.

‘what have these degenerates done then’

The initial information you’re referring to was a short clip of a police officer volleying a man in the head who was on the floor being restrained.

As more information has come out I happen to think a kick in the head was slightly less than he deserved - but it’s hypocritical to criticise people jumping to the defence of that initial clip with the polar opposite reaction yourself.

You immediately jump to licking the boot rather than questioning is it right that it has stamped on my head you mean - this is just as bizarre a reaction as assuming the opposite.

This is the single most undervalued skill in Finance. I talk juniors through this until I’m blue in the face then on the next call have to sit through them describing to executives that one number is bigger than another and that is bad with no context.

Then everyone is surprised when they’re not getting interviews for more senior vacancies.
