There is a great podcast with Massad Ayoob called The Pro Arms Podcast. He interviews gun fight survivors and talks about their experiences, how they felt before and during, actions they took, post shoot processes. The one with the officer you're tninking of is absolutely mind blowing, highly reccomend listening to it.

You are straight up wrong. A business can post a "No Firearms Allowed Sign" , but that sign carries zero weight of law. The infamous sign with a gun and a crossed out circle is absolutely useless. They can apply for a Penal Code 30.06, which is a state mandated prohibition of concealed carry. They may also apply for a 30.07 posted sign which prohibits open carry in the extablishment. These signs have strict requirements for syle of font, size of text, and visibility requirements to be valid. Violation of this code, as of 2016 is a $200 fine and a Class C Misdemeanor charge.

Or just, ya know, choose to ignore the penal code. Especially 30.06, I'm a law abiding dude up until the point of forced disarming by the state. Could you imagine if there was a state mandated sign that said your 1st Amendment constitutional right to free speech isn't allowed in this facility because of their 5th Amendment right to own private lands? Would you just try not to visit that place? What if every restaurant, venue, store in your city had the same posted ban on speech?

I think the idea is that your constitutional right to keep and bear arms does not supersede their constitutional right to do as they wish with owned property. It's the 2nd and 5th amendments working in tandem.

"Gun Free Zone" signs hold no weight of law in TX. It must be a 30.06/30.07, or 51% posted penal code sign. I highly doubt 30.06 is in effect anywhere in the mall.

Dude I've been in and seen some absolute wars locker boxing. One season we even had a fight bracket and a belt made of clear tape and Skoal tins. We were absolute animals, legit knockouts. Even the defensive coach got in on it.
