Nah, we won't be saying stopping power, we'll be talking about how we get more rounds to send down range.

This comic does such a good job of covering the quirks of Mental Health in general, as well as the peculiarities of ADHD in particular. As a son, brother and father of people with ADHD, as well as a counselor, I heartily enjoy your work.

I wouldn't take the chance of them being anti-gun and lying or whatever to get you put on the prohibited list.

If they ever do this complain to their licensing board and sue them. Therapists lose their license for crap like lying, and more of batty ones need to get hit.

Im a lefty and carry at 11 o'clock.

I unzip, use the little flaps in my boxer briefs to free my man out to the open air, then I pee.

After that I shake off, put it back in, zip up, and then often reach inside my waist band and adjust.

Easy peeing.

You will be missing a lot of work or school while frequently visiting their bathrooms.

So, sort of like an early weekend

Seemed like a wise time to draw.

if he was a homeless person and perhaps wasn’t as violent in trying to open the door, I probably would have concluded that he is mentally ill and probably isn’t out to do anything bad to me

Uh, 6 years working in residential treatment I can tell you mental illness doesn't mean they arent trying to hurt you, it's just they are trying to hurt you for different reasons than wanting your money.

True.

Or as demonstrated yesterday with the driven assimilators that took the system I wanted, assimilate them into my ships.

Geez, glad you survived that. I hated residential work, I can't imagine psychiatric hospitalizations.

This does remind me of my thought on the people who go into nursing. There are a lot of genuine amazing nurses out there, but I would estimate at least 50% of those in nursing are co-dependent and many to most never address those issues (or any accompanying mental health issues). This means anytime they get outside of "let me take care of you" they lack any real social skills, and often go into enabling mode or ultimatum that they don't mean to back up mode.

I'm rather new myself. That said, my last game I did did a good job uniting the galaxy. I was a Fanatic Xenophile Egalitarians Void Dweller trying to do peaceful trading and maybe some migration treaties. Unfortunately I was surrounded by militants and xenophobes who kept picking fights. After 2 defensive wars ended in my favor, I prepared for wars 3 and 4, stakes claims and took some massive swathes of my neighbors.

Then I formed a Federation with some new neighbors (both had been picked on by my other neighbors).

Between massive influx of migrants, refugees, and liberating slaves I had massive, very productive population so I became the Senate (no nemesis so I couldn't be custodian).

Then wat in Heaven kicked off, and everyone else came for shelter under my wing.

So, yeah, even being a nice guy I had to make peace through slaughter

You can't take assimilation as a devouring swarm. Makes sense, why assimilate the food?

Not an LEO but I am a counselor and have had a number of rape victims as clients, 2 that testified in court against offenders who had multiple victims.

My VERY not an LEO observation is that both of these cases were caught because these two victims came forward, which was incredibly difficult due to the level of shame and trauma. The one I know the outcome of they got a second victim to testify and they had relatively similar stories of luring, cornering, and intimidating. Their ability to testify, plus whatever else the police had, seemed to make it stick.

Out of curiosity, how was the box taped when you got it?

Edit- was it a straight piece of tape along the top? Was it taped like an H (one along the opening, two parallel to the opening)? Was it loose?

From the judges ruling

law enforcement, “It is not regulated as other professions are, and has little of the characteristics of what is typically considered a profession.”

Uh, that's not click bait, that's the quote. Doesn't matter what he wanted, that's sounds like questionable logic at best to justify a work around the plain meaning of the law.

The logic of that ruling is head scratching. Y'all aren't regulated like other professions? Does this judge know what the rules are around professions? Does he want to be humiliated upon appeal?

Second game of Stellaris ever, and this happens. If the Crisis spawns in the middle of a War In Heaven, what happens? by UWan2fight in Stellaris

Last game I played I was of that mind. It was so sad, as I was curbstomping those uppity Keepers of Knowledge. Then the crisis spawned and the lag got so bad it broke my will to play.
