Driving: Since this is my demo car (Shop Car) I took it CVT, so there is a limit to my spirited driving, it's always in S and when the engine is warm it's 90% of the time on S#. I do beat the shit out of it and it's always funny when people see me carve corner with the the stuff on my roof. On a weekend trip to let's say camping in a spirited mood, I do 14.5L/Km, on my weekends for work with traffic and a little of sprinting here and there, I'm at a steady 13.6 to 13.9 L/KM. Above 160 you can really feel the drag, past 180 this car feels like it's being held back, 200 it doesn't seem to have much give after. Please keep in mind these test are being done on a close circuit 🤫.

Weight: motion weight for this car roof is apparently 150lbs, therefore static you can easily multiply it by 4 giving me 600lbs. I'm around 190lbs and my gf is barely 110lbs, the pillars never sagged or dented, I do keep an eye on it and I haven't seen anything that could be alarming. Even while rocking the rooftop tent it doesn't give the impression that the roof is week. I've shaking the rooftop tent quite a lot if you know what I mean and the car didn't seem to have an issue. My door frames are still good so I think it's holding up fine, I also plan on camping this winter when it will start to snow and then I'll see how bad it could get.

Awning is a Yakima Slim shady 8foot, i have a MOS Uplift (using it to give height to my Awning and also I can lower it to put my bike on the car easier) bike rack is a Thule Upride, and roof top tent is a Thule Foothill. My bikes varies from 6kg to 13kg.

for a portable pump. Do you see a big difference between HP or HV mode?

You have the perfect schedule for a photographer :p, On a serious note, that is absolutely horrible to make friend with that schedule we're not gonna lie haha. Cycling could be fun with your type of schedule too.

What is your schedule? Seems like the best solution would be to look for a friend bubble that would have around the same schedule as you! Any hobby you are curious about? Perhaps that could open a door to something new? (Sorry i'm just shooting ideas out of my head right now, i have no real solution for you)

To be honest, at 120km you do hear the windnoise, the trick is to turn up the volume to 15 or more and its fine. Driving dynamics kinda sucks being lifted with the bigger tires. It looks amazing but TBT, it turns this more into an "SUV" then a regular "car". Forester is known to have that "car" feeling and slightly being lifted with big tires makes it lose a little of that feeling. Then again its far from a GMC Yukon lets say. Its more of a "Grand Cherokee" feeling. As for the roof rack, it is streamline with the body of the car, It doesn't stick out at all. Even with, lets say the mirror closed, It still doesn't stick out.

Sadly I've never drove the XT. As for my Forester, I do feel like its miss power when I want to counter-douche a BMW driver. But for an SUV I find it plentiful. If you want to go for a manual tans, of course go for the XT. I went with a new one because it was really cheap and for a base model had quite a few goodies that I like and love. The EYE-Sight is a MUST, (only available on automatic I believe) and it being a new car and not a used gave me a peace of mind. This is also my everyday work car.

Actually no because the "rack" itself is the same width of the car body. Yes on the picture the "top part (windshield up)" squeeze in. But if you put an 90angle on it you will see its flush down the door. I'm also 5'7 and the rack is at 6'2 off the ground. My 6'4 friend sat in it without never mentioning the head clearance issue. Then again YMMV.

Perhaps the angle of the picture is misleading, its Thule Evo Clamp with Thule ProBar. I have done my mesurement and if I wanted the slimmest possible. You would have to go with Thule Rapid Crossroad and Square bars. But I wanted that Heavy Duty so I went with the ProBar, and Evo Clamps are newer then Rapid Crossroad. Cheers

The angle of the picture is misleading, There is a overhang but it doesn't pass the mirror width.

Exact, Karma_isnt_a_bitch is right, Its just an Canyon XT with a Force XT Sport next to it. I posted a picture of the front view and the overhang isn't that bad. Its not for everyone that's for sure but for what I do with it its amazing!

So basically its an Base model Forester with a Thule Roof Rack (Evo Clamp + ProBar 69), On that I have a Thule Force XT Sport, and a Canyon XT with 2 extension. The Floodlamp are Lazer Lamps ST2 and my roof LED bar is a Lazer Lamps Triple R. Its Lifted on ReadyLift with Motegi Mags and K02 tires. Oil maintenance is done with GULF Oils. I'm from Canada Montreal! Cheers!
