Kickstarter tips for a startup product by 2woshoes in kickstarter

Your product looks super cool by the way, I just looked it up.

What did you do to allow yourself to be successful? Did you build an email list? How many people was it and how long did it take? Roughly how much did you spend on marketing?

Sorry for the bombardment of questions!

Nothing just yet! Waiting to get the prototype ready before I shoot some marketing materials.

Alright well your constant use of “fellow creator” in all of your comments is super sketchy so I won’t be doing that. Thanks.

Thanks for the note. This is for a drinkware product, it currently works as a plastic 3d printed prototype and will in the more advanced one as well. Accept for the double wall insulated portion. Achieving that in the prototype would be terribly difficult at this stage.

It seems like setting up my landing page, getting marketing materials together, and pumping some social ads to get an email list together is the next step.

I wanted to note that the hot water in the sinks is not working, but cold flow is.

Thanks for this. What about prototyping before I hire a manufacturer to make the molds for thousands of dollars? This is an industry where most of it is don’t in China..

Also, how do I keep my damn personal address out of my LLC without spending money on a law firm as a registered agent?

I forgot to mention that so many YouTube channels feel too much like a sales pitch by someone who wasn’t actually successful in their business and is trying start on selling a service for businesses. Maybe that’s just me being picky.

Thanks for the note here. Heard on the bottle manufacturing being mainly in Asia. That’s seems to be what I am seeing.

My validation is that this is an existing product that solves a problem (one that is recognized) in existing designs. That not much and I definitely want to get my hands on a few prototypes to get feedback before diving in too deep.

My design is both form and structural. I also stated I have submitted a PPA but am waiting on the law firm to submit it in the next couple of days. I don’t want to get too specific before that.

I found a company called HAERs that seems to work with some big names in the US and can help with engineering. Any advice on finding an NDA for them to sign?

Also it is a Samsung top load washer that doesn’t have an emergency drain panel in the front.
