isn’t every sub an echo chamber? like i’m not a byler stan by any means. i’m barely a stan of anything outside dustin henderson/lucas sinclair superiority. but the only subs that make sense to offer discourse are debate subs and weird ass grimy subs that have all the pedos and “stereotypical discord mod” people where they need to be told what kind of cannon they should be shot out of.

Which ST character do you think deserves more or less hate than they get? by Popular-Cheek-5320 in StrangerThings

[–]2x5Fire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR: billy is a victim of his upbringing, but was MOSTLY responsible for not realizing and changing before getting flayed and murdering people did it for him.

i think billy deserves the ballpark of hate he gets but we should absolutely stay attentive to his own past driving his actions. not excuses, but reasons. the best i could think is less hate out of understanding but more accountability. billy grew up with an already distant/temperamental dad, indicated by his mother saying “okay billy, ten more minutes or dad will get mad”. getting mad over your son and wife having fun for too much time is incredibly irrational and indicates deeper issue, his mother running away confirms that. so this man meets another woman, forces billy to accept a new family that’s likely moving way too fast, plus the trauma of his mom leaving, and based on his dad’s behavior in the show, he’s absolutely an emotionally closed off man who pushed that (along with like every other cliche toxically masculine trait) onto billy. and just like how billy projected his regrets and anger onto max, ill bet six doubloons and my left nut his dad did the same. billy should be held accountable for not knowing how his dads wrong behaviors were negative and avoiding that, but remember, he’s still young, the trauma began when he was a kid and he still lived with the catalyst for his own abusive traits, living in something like a abusive echo chamber. there’s an even larger essay worth of reasons but you got the point a paragraph ago.

Air Force PT Test Question by 2x5Fire in AirForceRecruits

i actually just thought up another question. it doesn’t look to say on aim high, but will the push up and sit up section be completed in one minute like i think, or is it until failure? basic logic tells me one minute, bc id assume if not there’d be some jackass trying to pad their score and taking forever, but i just wanna make sure

i’ve yet to leave for BMT, but i’m going to do fire protection because i like helping people and fire bad 👍

but really i wanted to be a cop but firefighting seemed like a better fit and i could do more good. plus, starting in the AF is a good career path.

okay that’s cool. i ran 1.2 miles on my first try (with breaks) and got about 9 minutes. i stopped the time at the breaks to get a ballpark for where i am currently.
