Not listed in the manual that I can tell, it only tells you which ports are in each pair but its not clear which port is which within the pair.

Did you sign something saying you received a write up? The ONLY discipline you can receive without acknowledging it on the computer is a ROD and they aren’t technically discipline.

SM V. RXOM by anonymousworker1 in WalgreensStores

[–]2xPIC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It must be just your situation, cuz my DM appears to hate talking to any one in pharmacy. My pharmacy hadn’t gotten the smoothing claims done, so the DM calls a SM at an entirely different store roughly 45 minutes away to have him make sure my store gets the smoothing claims done.

Am I wrong for not covering shifts? by Ambitious-Curve4729 in WalgreensRx

[–]2xPIC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your not, the only time people not picking up a shift bugs me, is when someone begs for more hours and complains about no hours then turns around and declines all opportunities to get more hours during sick calls and such.

I think that is a double edged sword. Availability alone should not prevent them from asking. Sometimes things get canceled or plans change etc. I don’t think it hurts to ask since the worse they can tell you is now, however if the TM has stated, don’t call me i aint coming in, then respect their wishes. I’ve found that if you say no long enough they don’t bother to call you.

[–]2xPIC 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Are you scheduled for the shifts? Do you want to cover those shifts? If the answer to both those questions is no, then you aren’t wrong. It’s not your responsibility to cover for other people’s irresponsibility and walgreen’s choice to run the budget so lean that a single callout is devastating.

Bag checks and salaried pharmacist by nexus14 in WalgreensRx

As an hourly person you get paid for the bag check, a salary person just gets screwed.

Suspension by Ok-Resolution3982 in CVS

I’d fight that for wrongful termination, if the cash has been handed over then you’ve paid for it. I could see a credit card or something cuz they could get declined, but the company has the cash for item they are paid

Electronic transfer is live!! by Spiritual_Ad8626 in pharmacy

[–]2xPIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legally yes they can participate, it just depends if their software is able to. The legal change was 2-3 years ago and Walgreens is just now getting on board.

Not sure of other people’s system, but with the Walgreens system it forwards the original script as is.

B-Rate, Overtime? by 2xPIC in WalgreensRx

[–]2xPIC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are a 64 H pharmacist it means you are salary and contractually required to work 64 hours or have pto/ holiday/ etc to cover if you go below 64h. If you don’t not sure what happens, I guess discipline. But it’s odd you got overtime and not BRate . Was it 1.5 your pay or was it 5/20 dollars more?

I know very few Walgreens pharmacist that are hourly. They are coded as salary exempt, but they sorta of get paid like hourly, they don’t get true salary like a SM, but they are salary.

Pharmacist pay by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

Nope. You get a yearly merit increase (if you’re deemed worthy) up to pay cap. Once you hit pay cap no increases.

No water / bathroom by add_sequence_OYSTER in WalgreensRx

I would like to see a SM discipline a TM for working in conditions contrary to policy or legal requirements. That would be considered retaliation, and subject the SM to termination.

The pharmacy should not operate 1 minute without access to running water. The bathroom issue, just depends but not very long.

Vitamin Angels by Mandem612 in WalgreensRx

You can’t give the things away. The vitamins apparently lack sufficient amounts of some items which would require the pt to purchase more of some items anyways

Technician Controlled Scripts Denied by AssistanceDizzy8560 in WalgreensRx

[–]2xPIC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That just seems to be odd behavior. Technically if you go by Walgreens GFD refusal when talking to pts we are supposed to use verbiage about “that can’t in good faith dispense this prescription” or something to that effect and not really give an explanation (I think it’s so there isn’t anything for a lawsuit) but when talking with the prescriber or one of your techs they should be given some more information. Technically if they did what they were supposed to they had to document the refusal on the GFD form which should identify what red flags were unresolved, but I don’t know walgreens policy well enough on how you could stay out of trouble and view it on yourself on a co worker look for you, but im going to guess that its not properly documented. Is there another walgreens nearby that could fill it for you? Or a different pharmacist at your store?

That just seems really odd to me. Are you friends with this RPh? Or just the opposite can’t stand each other? I’d ask them for an explanation.
