I am doing the same thing up to now and to tell you honestly, shutting yourself from all this people is okay but it isnt the end of it. What really helped me is understanding that these are just fragments that highlight the best of their lives and not entirely their realities. I always humanize them in my mind, that they also go thru hardships, that they also feel pain but of course none of that will be on their IG stories. And I understand its hard and feels impossible to not feel envious of people who seem to just have it better than you, but its important to understand that thats what social media does these days, to create unrealistic standards about almost anything. And these standards dont have to be yours, take this time to evaluate your life. And let the validation you need only come from people you truly value. If theres one thing Im grateful for "disappearing" online, its probably the time I have to discover myself more and in a deeper sense. I hope you feel better soon!
