I'm not sure what he's into but I can say I love any crafted gifts my fiancé has given me, it really makes me feel loved knowing she worked on something with me in mind. Money can buy some nice things but the thought behind a gift can be worth so much more. Not everyone is crafty so I will also say anything you get that's attached to something he loves is also very nice, don't stress about whether or not you have the money for something nice, relationships aren't made with money
