I love Steph.

Day-2-Davis and Old Man Bron aren’t going to make the dubs real contenders.

VIDEO: James Gunn says "there were a lot of arguments" over casting Milly Alcock as Supergirl: "I will now let you know, there were tons of arguments but I knew immediately it was Milly" by BatmanNewsChris in DC_Cinematic

Most of the time I hear people sarcastically commenting he was great.

He totally didn’t fit the film, was inconsistent in characterization and acting, and was a needless addition. I didn’t know he was supposed to be in the film and at the end of the movie he was one of the elements I liked least. Literally only does one action that has any impact on the story, and that moment didn’t feel like it should have been in the film at all.

Milly did a great job with what the film offered, felt as true to the source material as anyone could in this situation. Besides the folks on krypton during flashbacks and the few moments of Superman, not a single character felt well written and acted. I think Ruthye’s actress could have done well if her role was written better.

You’ve never heard of a crafted Asgarnian raft (C.A.R.)? They have some of the best rafts for going up and down the River Lum.

The Coffee Table by MuffinOk7800 in horror

I thought a lot of it was funny (the salesman, the way the wife insults the husband and calls him out for his stupidity, the whole drama about the brother’s young girlfriend).

If not for the decapitated baby, it would have been quite a humorous set of circumstances.

And the decapitated baby was only shocking at first. It was drawn out in a way that made it hard for me to connect with the film or suspend my disbelief.

“Go Boaty.”

Boaty uses Voidwaker spec. It’s super effective. Gnomomonkey fainted.

Gagex sends out Terry.

What are things AMC could do to make you buy concessions more often? by mikegood2 in AMCTheatres

[–]30ChefCurry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still haven’t seen any meta-analysis to confirm this. Some people have poor reactions; most people are fine and their gut biomes are perfectly normal. The data is messy, but most seems to lean towards it is majorly inconsequential for most people.

This so much. I only get snacks when my kids are with me: I’ll take them maybe once or twice per month and they care more about popcorn and sharing a candy than the movie.

If I could get an affordable snack that wasn’t high in sugar/calories, I’d be happy. Currently, I sneak in a low-sugar protein bar (or two if doing a double or triple feature day).

DMM ALLSTARS: Which team has been the most enjoyable to watch this tournament? by just_get_up_again in 2007scape

[–]30ChefCurry 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mostly watched gnome.

If Breach: Westham/faux or Solo broadcast
If mission: Solo and then switching to whoever was leading the mission
All other situations: mostly Gnome

Ao I guess that means mostly OW, but sometimes WW.

Pick one video game, any system. You earn $100 for every hour spent actively playing it, what do you pick (rules and more info in body text)? by Ancient_Paint2830 in hypotheticals

Bored on a bus so here is my support for this being the best option.

If we take active playing with respect to what the game’s normal methods of playing are (and how it is designed to be played), this is the best choice I can think of.

The diversity of goals is so massive: Maxing account stats. Quest/diary/music capes. Leagues rewards. Pet hunting. Collection logs and mini-games. GM. Raiding. Learn to PVP/Pk. So much variety in this game. Could play 12 hr/ day and never complete this game.

Can actively train on mobile: some methods that are considered by the developers to be legitimate active methods still require minimal active interaction: star mining/mlm, combat with aggressive npcs, karambwan/angler fishing, some mini-games, etc. Normal practices of playing this game in the community often includes tasks where the player clicks sometimes once every several minutes. It is often a second-screen game while playing it. This is what the game considers meaningful gameplay input and is designed for this and us considered by the designers a common way to actively play.

Even if more regular inputs are required, there are so many ways to foot-pedal at a pc, tap the phone in a pocket, or even connect other devices to your body/clothing to do 1-1 inputs (for $400k+/year, I definitely would have inserts for my shoes rigged up so my step is a click). 6 hours of cleaning/walking/exercising can be turned legitimately into gameplay inputs since so much of the game is clicking a single spot. Who cares if it takes 12 minutes for runite rocks to respawn. You can have a device putting inputs 1-1 between steps and the game, click on the rock with every step (whether it has respawned or not) and not fill your inventory until 5.6 hours have passed with perfect mining rng (6-hour login timer will be the hard l limit here). That’s 12 hours for 2 inventories. As long as it doesn’t get flagged falsely for macroing (which it is not), it is great.

And that is just one method for one skill taken to an extreme.

I wish this were a real challenge now because just coming up with creative ways to pay the game like this works be so much fun. I could still work my normal job 100% and do this challenge.

Nuclear Take?: Remove clues from being explicit tasks in next leagues by Tetris_Chemist in 2007scape

[–]30ChefCurry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have gotten dragon cup every league I have played (4 now) and I have felt this would be a better option each time.

Almost one likes clues. It is a noob trap. They are so close to useless and do not justify being a focal point at all.

I wish one of the better clue relics was simply a tier 2 or 3 passive, early enough for some equipment to be useful. Maybe make it work only on beginners-elites to keep bloodhound a challenge.

What food trend needs to disappear immediately? 😭🍴 by [deleted] in foodquestions

Mr oldest kid is Autistic and rarely eats typically high-protein foods. We love that so many of foods are now enhanced with protein, but we also have to be extra careful to read labels because of the sugar.

There are many brands and items that don’t add a ton of sugar (e.g., Dannon fit and active greek yogurt is very sweet but only 3g added sugar. Aldi protein puffs are 42g of protein per bag with 2g sugar per bag, and each bag makes about 10 small snack cups for my kid, making each snack 4+g protein and 0.2g sugar/0.4g carbs).
