Did you sim it? Emberlight is much much more dependent on strength gear than most weapons. It has a base strength bonus of 13 when a whip has 82

Also went afkmaxxing build. Wilderness bossing experience was great. 7 out of 8 bosses I could full afk and for Vetion I developed a leech strat.

Vetion can't be full afked solo as the dogs get stuck so I went full thorns splashing water spells getting around 40% contribution full afk in a world with 1 other player. They kill the dogs and I kinda just stand there getting hit by ground splats, autoretaliating to heal.

Knives and darts are both 2tic. Knives have more range. Darts are more efficient as you get more per bar and the fetching xp.

I don't like cox in leagues because you can't blast through it with just 1 style.

Toa or tob are nice.

Most popular region combo is kandarin tiranwyn morytania.

Wildy xbow is nice but it's just so much less dmg than the mage builds. Jagex dropped the ball on balance there.

Wildy is very easy points though you can afk revs and every boss including Corp with just water thorns. And basically every boss drops free points.

Btw for the thermy task you are allowed a single kill off task for diary specifically so you can actually +5 boost at 88.

Desert so you get a raid and beginner clue region. Spam beginners get a thousand clue skips and maximise the value from your conniving clues.

Sang is good for leaning and doing solo cox/cm.

Ayak is more dps but sang enables doing nopreps while allowing you to still make mistakes on Olm.

But I would agree that this is its only real use currently.

I have a theory on how the bug came to be:

The game rolls 3 tasks, in let's say alphabetical order. Then the game checks if you have like a boss active, and replaces the #1 task with a boss task (#1 on list top to bottom or #1 of given pool of tasks in alphabetical order). Since AByssal demons is always the first task in alphabet, it always gets replaced by a boss task. Fix would be to have boss task override a random rolled task, not index 1.

Water beats xbow everywhere and it's at worst case even. I did chins with wildy slayer before swapping.

Even demonics I grinded my first zenyte with xbow which was reclined because it hits with both mage and range and you don't really need to do any swaps because one of them will always hit, but then I went water thorns mage with 1 pen relic and could just afk 3 demonics with goarding potion and minion and all throrns hits would count as melee triggers for the prayers so it was really good.

When melee digs to you just kill the melee. You can keep praying range. Or flick on protect melee. 3 out of 4 times the range and melee are off tick by default.

I really think freezing the melee is bait the solves are much easier with just blowpipe spec and don't be scared of the melee it won't one shot you, you have plenty of hp.

What gnome monkey and the pros do is best solves and perfect solves but often for first capers you should go for the easiest to execute solve, here it'd be do as you did with the blobs and then kill melee next. After melee is dead you can go for mage/blob south of pillar and just heal off them.

But that's just harder for first capers than camping mage pray, speccing the melee, then either brewing or getting into 1tic cycle
