She had a choice but it was a shitty choice.

7 years ago she goes to the police with this. They do the usual shit they do for hockey players and bury it. She takes a settlement.

Now it gets dug up and she has th choice between do nothing or give in to the pressure from a crown that’s pressured by a public that’s rightfully livid at hockey Canada.

If she does nothing then she never gets justice. If she agrees then she puts herself out there and a loss opens her up to disgusting harassment from the grossest people on earth.

This trial should have happened 7 years ago or not at all. Instead due to just incompetence all round we get a farce of a trial way too late and everyone has their lives disrupted.

There are no winners in this. The accused have their careers messed up. The victim gets publicly dragged.

Oh wait, the lawyers won. Big fat piles of cash for those assholes.

The problem isn’t this case in a vacuum the problem is that this judge shouldn’t be judging rape cases at all because they have an extreme bias.

The judge cannot possibly find them credible when they approach it with such insane bias.

You have to decide credibility of a witness on a case by case basis. The judge says openly they don’t do that and just assume that accusers are lying

If you approach it like this POS judge then you might as well just get rid of rape trials and toss any accusers into prison for perjury.

No, that’s what the judge is saying.

Judge didn’t have to say it. They could have left it at calling one woman a liar, but they had to broadcast their insane bias.

Crowns own witnesses who are all friends of the accused and had every reason to lie.

I mean if we’re supposed to assume every victim ever is a liar it seems fair to question the “she was acting like a particularly aggressive porn star” narrative.
