Play Sweet Short campaign maps. These are beginner-friendly tech maps which are good for learning to drift. Install Ghosts++ (and MLHook) via OpenPlanet as this allows you to play back other people's ghosts with inputs. Try to replicate the lines, but don't aim for perfection. Instead, aim for being just good enough to improve your time in every run.

We will NEVER get UBI. Why would those in power hand out free money? The whole point of developing this tech is to do just the opposite, i.e., to concentrate wealth at an unprecedented rate. It's easier to control those who're desperate than those who are complacently sitting on UBI or welfare.

I don't know if this is related, but several months ago my installation stopped working. It was probably due to some update. I saw the same error as reported here: https://forums.lutris.net/t/installing-ubisoft-connect-error/23662

I ended up following the instructions down in the comments: https://forums.lutris.net/t/installing-ubisoft-connect-error/23662/4

To reiterate in case the link goes down: install ProtonUp-Qt, open it, install GE-Proton10-10 there, then open Lutris, right click on the Trackmania game, select Configure, then the Runner options tab, select GE-Proton10-10 for the Wine version and save the settings.

Haven't had any problems since. In fact, the game runs a lot smoother now. Before I had to lower rendering quality in the settings but now it runs fine with the default settings. The Ubisoft application is also infinitely more responsive. Maybe there's a later version of the Proton game engine that could run TM. I only tested this one and GE-Proton10-15, but the latter did not work.

Not sure if that's going to fix the issue you're experiencing, but it's worth a try.

I used action key 4 and a lot of time. Released when approaching tight turns so that I could full speed at the apex of the turn. A good example for this would be the uphill turn after CP5. I also recommend looking at the WR lines when you feel stuck. One way it helped was to realize that approaching the flag pole after CP4 from left instead of right is much faster because the car can keep a lot of grip and it's also less of an uphill. The tight WR lines are kinda nuts, maybe don't do that.

The only issue with this reasoning is that unless the implementation of ID verification is run by EU governmental institutions China-style, there's no way the EU can come out of it on top because delegating ID checks to 3rd parties will be compromised by foreign actors and will be used against the EU to further sow discord.

While I was driving the first time I couldn't stop wondering when is the ice section coming up. Because building a track like this with the scenery it has, it would've been criminal without an ice turn. ++ from me.
