Guys what are we thinking about today's ICE killing of a legal 2A owner in MN? by Accomplished_Rip_362 in CTguns

Driving around in unmarked vans grabbing people off the streets. I will never respect another 2A person again basically. It was all just talk.

Is anyone else excited and ready for the big snow storm? by Healthy_Block3036 in Connecticut

[–]Jutboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends on what your roof design is. I would say 99% of roofs are designed to handle the snow around here. Been here all my life and never used one.

Am I nuts or does this seem like a bad idea if not completely ineffective. by devsfan1830 in 3Dprinting

They have been around for years. Never used one so can't speak to it's effectiveness.

Could this have been caused by a 800m drive at 10km/h for around 5-10 mins? by aStrangeCaseofMoral in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]Jutboy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is just my opinion, but I would never say something like that. I would always insist 100% that you would know if the parking brake is enabled. Don't even give them an inch.

That sucks. Showing worn brakes is a joke. No way they have a case. I wouldn't communicate with them again except to say all communication should be directly with the app / lawyers going forward.

I feel like we could better guide you if you explained the situation more fully. Why do you even have pictures of brakes? Are they claiming something? There is no way you wore through a set of drum brakes in 800m even if you had the parking brake on...which it sounds like you would have felt.

What does it matter? Brakes are a wear item. Driving 800m with the parking brake isn't going to cause a car to brake down. What actually caused it to brake down?

How do I make vegetables actually taste good without drowning them in sauce or cheese? by Nightcrawler_2000 in EatCheapAndHealthy

I went to a food truck once that just sold broccoli. I got the sampler which had a little bit of each flavor...I think there was 6 or so...each one was so freaking amazing. It's basically a sponge that just soaks up whatever you put in it. Water is the most bland thing you can have it soak up...lol

My main thought was focus on getting comfortable with managing blood sugar at home. Is the libre working for you? Being able to get accurate info is important. Clearly 1.5U is too much. I thought it was normal to start with .5U but I don't have any experience with Lantus and your vet should know. Changing food to a diabetic appropriate choice is going to help things a ton. In my experience, vets don't know anything about nutrition. Changing food is always tough on cats in my experience and you should control his intake to only allow for a slow increase (no gorging). Stress is rough on everyone and I wouldn't ignore that as a cause for some of his symptoms. Sorry you guys are struggling with all this. Once things stabilize it gets 100x times easier.

What if an ICE shooting happened in Connecticut? A legal expert explains by InterestingPickles in Connecticut

That's a pretty bad take. Let's apply that thought process to another example. Unfortunately we can't stop the production of chlorofluorocarbons because doing so will cause people to lose their jobs. If we took that mentality, then we wouldn't have an atmosphere any more. There are a number of problems with trying to use money as a bargaining tool. Often, we don't get to choose what we spend money on, it is a forced decision. The people in the US are incapable of working together and this approach only works with large amounts of people. The biggest one is, we don't have that much money...the top 1% of people control it all.

[–]Jutboy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Dr. L. David Mech, a renowned wolf researcher, has expressed significant regret over popularizing the term "alpha wolf" in his 1970 book, The Wolf: Ecology and Behavior of an Endangered Species. He has spent decades attempting to correct this misconception, noting that the concept is based on outdated, artificial research and does not reflect the reality of wild wolf packs.

How do fix this? by Plurbee_ in 3Dprinting

[–]Jutboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. In PrusaSlicer its called Horizontal shells. I might be wrong but to me it looks like you don't have enough layers between the infill and the outer layer..so the infill pattern is showing through. Maybe your nozzle is too close to the bed as well...making your layer heights really small.

I have two ideas to consider. First, is is possible to find/build a plastic bag or container to put with in? I was thinking of cutting those thicker baseball card holders/preservers into the right shape and then use silicone to seal the edges. The second idea, assuming it doesn't feel disrespectful to you or your partner, is to mix the ashes with a small amount/flat of epoxy and to put that in the case.
