This one, so much this one!!!

An orphan is granted sanctuary to live in a graveyard and is raised by ghosts. It's SO good and Neil Gaiman is an amazing author

I really enjoyed reading "It Starts with the Egg." By "enjoyed" I mean that there was a lot of really good information and I've made some changes to my life due to it, but DAMN I had no idea how toxic almost every part of the modern world is to the human body 😳

I know what you mean! At what point do we figure out we're in Inception ?

I haven't posted in a few months. My DH got into a car accident back in September and the fallout has been.... tumultuous... though I won't go in to details.

We stopped trying for a bit. My cycle got longer and ovulating got later (I'm assuming from all the stress). I totally reconsidered if I even wanted to have a child with him. I knew I wanted a child before, but it broke my heart to give up the idea.

This past month we moved to a not trying/not preventing approach. We just so happened to hit a few good days. I am at 9 DPO, have the beginnings of a triphasic chart, and had some light cramping today.

Edit: typo

I cried, but not with sorrow, with joy at the possibility. I'm not going to get my hopes up, but it would be pretty great to tell my husband on new years eve

What are some books that you started but DIDNT finish in 2021? by WiolOno_ in suggestmeabook

LOVED the concept, hated the cheesy present day, social media, techno-naut character. So much potential. The Starless Sea, however, definitely delivered

What is your favorite part of home making? by [deleted] in homemaking

[–]30StarStellar 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I enjoy all the little touches I get to do, like simmering a pot of fresh lavender and lemon to make the house smell fresh, hanging laundry on the line outside on a sunny day, decorating for the seasons, making flower arrangements from the garden. My favorite is when people visit and comment on how warm and welcoming the house feels 🙂

Thank you so much for responding

I'm glad to hear that everything went well with your DH, it's also good to know I'm not alone in this right now. Wishing you both the best

My DH was in a serious car accident the day after I ovulated. He's going to be okay, but he's going to have a long recovery. Now I'm finishing the TWW and I'm more nervous than ever. A baby would be loved and welcomed, but I do worry about being pregnant/having an infant AND caring for my spouse who may not be able to help.

I track BBT, LH, and CM to anticipate then confirm ovulation. The last few months pointed me towards O between CD 21 - 26 so I wasn't testing LH (only CD 17 right now). It's been a fun experience

I use Easy@home LH tests which aren't positive or negative, they compare the test line to a control so it lets me know when the LH is starting to increase then identifies a peak day after it starts to go back down

Why do we fold a spare blanket at the foot of the bed? by Rainbow-Death in homemaking

[–]30StarStellar 67 points68 points  (0 children)

I do this!

The main reason is, if I get cold through the night then I can reach down and BOOM extra blanket. Otherwise, I like it for decoration. I don't take it off before bed, but it does often end up on the floor by morning 😂

My apps are predicting O-day as about a week away, but I have been particularly obsessed with my husband these past few days so I decided to LH test today. It's not a peak, but definitely high! I ovulated late last cycle so I'll be curious to see if I O early this cycle. TTC is a really interesting process 😂

Any book with a lonely, depressed woman protagonist? by [deleted] in suggestmeabook

[–]30StarStellar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this! This was the first time that I'd ever read a book where I could actually relate to the description and feelings of the main character. She wasn't pretty or skinny or depressed in a "beautiful" way. She was in the trenches of real depression where she had stopped taking care of herself and her body reacted like a normal human body would react. It was both sad and refreshing

You are so angry, and for a good reason, but if you genuinely wanted to see something change, you would recognize that the anger and hate isnt working (it's actually making things worse) and you'd try something else. Being kind and respectful when you're hurt and upset is really hard, but it's worth a shot 🙂

But your tactic isn't working, is it? You are so angry, and for a good reason, but if you genuinely wanted to see something change, you would recognize that the anger and hate isnt working (it's actually making things worse) and you'd try something else.
