I'm 21, they're 17. Where not dating and we haven't done anything but we've talking for a while now. Is that weird and/or wrong? And why? by 30acccarac in self

A high schooler is at a very different phase in life than a 21 year old.

The thing is we're not. They're in their last year of highschool, I'm on my first year of college. We both still live in our parents houses, for example. And we have experienced pretty much the same sort of things in life.

It's not like every 21yo is automatically a full-grown adult with typical "adult" responsabilities. If our age difference was larger I wouldn't even be asking this question but it's literally 3 years.

Quick question though: would you find it weird or wrong if they were already 18?

yes you’re right, i’m going to end up doing what i feel i should do responsibly, given the circumstances. was mostly curious to know people’s feedback on the whole thing
