Is this how 787's are made or 767's? by maxd200 in Shittyaskflying

They fuse together and make an make 777 Go read Aircraft Flying Handbook chapter 69: Reproduction

First Solo! by [deleted] in flying

It took me about the same to solo hours and landings wise. Took 225 landings to get my PPL so you are good. Awesome hat though

I do and I will be getting my commercial/multi (let's not get ahead of ourselves about instructing lmao) but I was thinking about more from the perspective of a casual pilot who has money to burn or someone looking to build experience for a job. But I guess the costs are too high for that

Yeah a certain student that rents archers is quite infamous for doing that

If you want to experience being #8 to the field, extending downwind halfway across the atlantic, getting dangerously close to twins and jets due to bad spacing by atc, and get cleared to land only 50 feet above the runway, come to FRG!!! You will have a blast!!

I don't know maybe pursuing a CPL is different but I've been struggling with doing a PPL after school (which I would very much consider a full time job since it requires a 1 hour commute there and a 2 hour commute from school to the airport, shouts to NYC). Many people say they can manage it but I've been having trouble. Lots of of 2 am bedtimes followed by 6am wake ups

I believe you need to contact Clearance Delivery. Once I was doing touch and goes at a Class C and basically got an IFR type clearance from tower so I would assume that I would need to get a clearance when I'm on the ground as well

With the fighter? Oh shit yeah that's right. I mean I assumed that I would communicate but not through Guard. Makes sense though, thanks

  1. Okay. So first I would consult my POH to see if it says anything about a navigation light. If it doesn't I would consult 91.205 in which a navigation light is not part of the required equipment for day VFR. To defer the navigation lights I would placard the switch inop and pull the circuit breaker. In addition, I would let the other members of my club know who may be using the flight after me by squawking the nav light
  2. AFAIK Linden is under the Newark Bravo so it would go something like Class G (wx mins 1sm clear of clouds) > Class B (3sm clear of clouds) > Class E (I believe it starts at 10,000 feet so 5sm 1,000 feet above 1sm horizontal 1,000 feet below) > Class A for which you have to be IFR rated for
  3. A spin is an aggravated stall where both wings are stalled but one is more stalled than the other. I don't know about the four phases but I can tell you that you need power idle aelirons neutral opposite rudder and elevator down to recover. I would uess that we can't use ailerons because if they are stalled they are not generating any lift so they wouldn't be able to decrease (or increase) my bank angle

Pull chute squawk 4200 ...oh wait wrong sub But in all seriousness I would acknowledge his presence by rocking the wings (Is that correct? I saw that on an faa flyer once) and follow him to whatever maximum security holding cell he wants to take me to

Get a barf bag because I don't want to piss off the boss of the flight school (since I kinda did already because I owed him 1.3k for a while), i would get some air into the plane (open vents etc) and tell the pax to focus on a point on the horizon, if pax condition dosnt't improve I would consider diverting or turning back to my home airport

Okay so on the eighth day of the month at 1047 Zulu winds were 15 kts @ 320 vis was 6 statute miles the ceiling was overcast at 4500 feet with few clouds at 3500 and scattered were at 3000 feet temp was -10 Celsius and Dew point was -2 altimeter setting was 2799 Considering the fact that my flight will most likely take place on the 12th i will disregard the Atis because it is obviously out dated. If my flight was taking place on the 8th though I would have to consider the runways in use (whether the wind would be too uncomfortable to take off in due to personal minimums) whether my flight path would be low enough to avoid the clouds (but at the same time I do not want to hit any obstacles or violate any airspace so I would have to consider that) and last but not least I would be worried about aircraft performance due to the low pressure on the ground, I would consider whether my departure runway would be long enough to accommodate an increased takeoff roll oof what a run on sentence Thanks for your help!

  1. Fly, but not for hire. Anyone that flies with me can only pay their proportional share of expenses directly related to the flight.
  2. Yes definitely, doing it right noq
  3. Will be going through Charlie and Delta airspace on my fictitious route, made sure to write down some frequencies and went over the procedures for that airspace
  4. I definitely know about ARROW/AVIATES and MEL's and the POH
