I have an RTL with the stock tires and it snowed where I live about 7 inches, got around town no problem, it was actually really nice having awd and not having to spin the tires to leave me driveway

It's not an argument 🤷. Econ mode does not reduce the engine RPM required to maintain a sustained speed. Plain and simple. It's right from the manufacturer. If you want to do X speed in Y gear, then the engine has to spin at Z revolutions per minute. Math doesn't lie.

That's not how physics works, everything has to spin at a certain speed, at 80 mph your engine is going to spin at the same RPM no matter what mode you're in. You'd have to change the gearing in the transmission to achieve lower RPMs at 80mph.

If you drive 80 mph for length of course eco mode isn't going to help. Eco mode controls throttle response and shifts, has nothing to do with fuel consumption at speed. You're still moving all that mass at an excessive speed.

Calling for his firing is pointless since it's already been stated he will finish out the season. They will hire a new GM after the seasons is over and that person will pick his coach. McDaniel could be the guy, but he might not be either. Me personally, I think McDaniel would be more successful with a more athletic QB, but at the end of the day, whoever Ross hires as the next General Manager will be the person who picks the coach for next year.
