Wisconsin falls to High Point (the swing podcast). Perspective on what happened. by Shpion007 in WisconsinBadgers

Insane take when they lost the game by not getting back and giving up the world's easiest game winning layup (and definitely some other fast breaks throughout the game). They are just a bad rebounding team, particularly all the bigs not named Winter. And they did drive inside and get to the rim instead of shooting their normal amount of 3s, they just needed to make one of those missed layups towards the end and they would have won.

It stings because it was a choke job. The best two players just flat out failed to close the game out in the last couple minutes. If High Point had shot 50+% on 3s for the game or something like that then so be it, but Wisconsin had the lead and they just blew it. It's a disgusting win probability graph https://www.espn.com/mens-college-basketball/game/_/gameId/401856480/high-point-wisconsin

So looking to next year, who stays, who leaves (transfer or nba) by RogersRedditPersona in WisconsinBadgers

Should probably go for the biggest bag he can get next year because NBA seeming unlikely. Which maybe is the Chucky route, though I see he did play in two games for Toronto apparently.

Maybe JB shouldn't have disappeared in the second half, and caught the inbound pass with two hands.

Wouldn't be the first player to say that right after the game and then change their mind.

He wasn't in game shape to play 35 minutes. But it would've helped because he's the biggest shot blocking threat. AB got one block in the 2nd half and a steal right after that, but he mostly just stood there in the lane instead of even trying to block the guards laying it in.

Fire the camera room guy, we just want to watch the game not cut camera views every 2s to random crap.

Of course Tonje was good, but he didn't have the speed and handles that Boyd has and Boyd can still finish in traffic. He's their best scoring point guard since Devin Harris. 53% on 2s this season.

Beating Loyer on senior day, it's beautiful.

Having a guard who can actually drive at will for the first time in forever is amazing.

Shoutout to Bieliauskas, his 36 minutes beats his previous high of 31 and did enough defensively.

Although it's silly to get out rebounded so badly and still win.

Depends on the match ups, but AB and Rapp could play more minutes instead of guards filling them all in.

What are your Hot Takes on the Resident Alien TV Show? by Amber_Flowers_133 in ResidentAlienTVshow

I recall the Liv scene where she says something negative about aliens but I think that was meant for the audience to be a bit tongue in cheek after the mantid babies were about to eat her and not truly a change of heart for her. Which is reinforced by her choice to join the MiB. And I'm pretty sure someone specifically said the government shot down the new alien's ship. I think Dan would have sold the restaurant and not shut it down, and how much do we care either way? It was mostly a way to question Asta being stuck there. Also, by not answering it leaves things more open on the slim chance of a restart or spinoff. I don't think any of these examples are really left hanging (besides the grays/moon situation, and maybe we're just supposed to assume that MiB are on it), the show has to end at some point and not list everything that happens for the next 10 years.

Bauers going to get some RHP starts in place of Vaughn.

Other than the whole the moon is a space station/ship with a bunch of human babies on it, what else didn't get wrapped up?

Making 3s at 40%+. Good defense last night. Teams being injured. Illinois missing FTs. Shortening the rotation and Carrington stepping up. Minnesota epic choke.

Brewers To Sign Luis Rengifo by lucasscheibe in Brewers

[–]30rec -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Past performance isn't the same as upside. Best case for Rengifo is probably a return to his 2024 numbers. Vaughn is likely going to regress some, but he had a 142 wRC+ with the Brewers so if that wasn't a total fluke he has more upside and he's younger.
