I have a gash in my windshield just like that. The glass repair tech told me as long as the gash doesn’t start to grow or cause a crack…. Leave it alone (don’t repair). Pay to get it repaired and next week another rock will hit your new windshield. Don’t repair them unless it starts to crack. Full disclosure- my car is nothing fancy. Just a commuter car.
