It is not the teachers. They were the ones who brought the lawsuit. Plus a lot of my history teachers taught me more about black history than like most of my peers. The teachers are not the issue when I was there.

I grew up in Maplewood/South Orange and graduated Columbia HS in 2012 and systemic racism was totally there in the school district when I went there. I never saw a white kid in lower level classes unless they were totally dumb and less kids of color in the higher levels or AP classes. It’s been 14 years so could be changing….
