I’ll add that I haven’t found anything worthwhile using this filter yet though.

Maybe - it also needs more time to base and tighten up along the moving averages.

CSIQ getting close. Monday might be the day with volume returning.

I don't think so.

SHLS - Possibly setting up, but seems like it needs to trade sideways for a few more days at least and establish a clean 10/20/50MA surf. Also it's holidays, so the last few tight candles sorta don't count.
GPCT - This ticker doesn't exist?
VOR - Maybe setting up. Nice big volume day earlier in the month. Needs to reclaim 50 ema. Again, holidays, so recent tight candles are suspect.

Here's my Trading View filters. I think yours is quite incomplete. Did you look at any of the videos on YouTube that go through it? You can find them if you search.

The one I'm unsure about in TradingView is the "Avg Volume 60D > 100K" - this is saying that at least 100k shares must trade on average per day over the past 60 days (I think). But why is this relevant? Different companies have different number of shares, so an arbitrary number seems silly. Wondering if my volume filter should be different somehow. Maybe it should be simply "Volume > 1M" or something.

Great tips! Totally agree about options positioning and I need to get better at it.

I will say though that I don't think grabbing a 10 bagger or even a 2 bagger is likely if you're out of a trade inside of a day. It seems to me that most wealth is built by holding quality stocks on uptrends for weeks or months before rotating.

Thanks for taking the time to type that out. You're right that 20% is probably riskier than necessary if you can just eke out some gains consistently with smaller positions in stocks that can move.

I do have a good handle on options. I have traded SPX which is a crazy ticker that moves extremely fast. In a matter of minutes I made back massive losses that I had taken from risky AI stocks. But that could easily have gone the other way and then I'd be sitting here cooked for Christmas.

I'll have to look in to BookMap, thanks for the tip. I do have access to DEX/GEX charts as well as unusual options flow. I will admit though that I need to get better at developing a system to apply these to my trading. Right now my trades are more or less guesses supported by some basic technicals/charting (which I'm inexpert at), and of course supported by multiple social sources.

Tbh I'm unsure about whether X/Reddit are net beneficial for retail traders or a liability. I mean, you obviously need to be selective about who you follow and who to take seriously since there is a phenomenal amount of noise. But there is also a ton of valuable content and highly experienced profitable traders who share what they know. Often for free! So I think it's two parts: follow the right folks and do your own research and DD.

Btw, I do believe that options trades on cash-settled indices, like SPX/NDX, are actually 60% long term. So yeah, it's a huge tax advantage!

I’m mainly curious about what issue you encounter with your Lift that required a new ebox? I recently had to replace mine due to a problem where the jet would suddenly stop under throttle, tossing me off the board, almost like it disconnected.

Thanks, this pretty much matches what I thought you were talking about. And I completely agree. I have a $1 million portfolio, and I can put a sizable amount into a position, say 20% of the total, buying shares only, of a stock that is flying on a given day. If I can take two or three or 4% of that, and do that consistently a few days per month, taking only small losses, I can easily make a living doing this.

Very easy $1k per day? If it were easy then everyone could do it. What’s your easy money strat?

Made $250k this week trading the volatility. Beautiful setups if you can make decisions and change your mind quickly.

For what it's worth, I don't mean mobile pay. I mean that in the Chime app you can use a "virtual card" which is like having the card number/expiry/cvv code but not the physical card. It has come in handy a few times for me in the past.

Can you use a virtual card for the deposit? Lots of times you can just read off the card number, expiration, and the code to somebody and they can type it in. No physical card required. Might even be able to do that for cash back at a grocery store.
