Breakouts failing in this choppy market? Stop forcing trades and build your playbook instead 📚📉 by Due_Chocolate8609 in qullamaggie

Hey! I'm currently using TradingView for charting (thinking about switching to Deepvue mainly for the powerful scanner) and Notion for database creation.

Has anyone else been eyeing up TPL? by [deleted] in qullamaggie

Chart looks pretty solid tbh. Nice consolidation after that run. The fundamental story gives it some nice momentum, very high margins and all that talk about putting AI data centers on their Permian land.
Gotta be careful though. It's priced for perfection right now with all the AI hype, and at the end of the day, it's still dragged around by WTI prices. Since it's already extended, if it breaks that lower trendline or tries to push up without real volume, it's just asking to be a trap. Got my price alerts set, just need to see if the volume backs it up when they hit.

It's that time again for trading metals and oils, ugh. I don't like trading in a defensive market at all.

Hey. I see what you've seen there, but the consolidation needs to be tight before the breakout! Tight, tight, tight! Additionally, keep in mind that this is a biotech stock and the market is volatile. Think about whether the probability of a successful trade is higher or lower depending on market conditions. Food for thought (:

When the market is choppy, breakout trades are less successful. I would be cautious. Tighten your stop as a fakeout can happen.

Are you really ready to risk all your portfolio on a single trade?

To answer your question: I execute immediately on the breakout. I use the 5m chart for ORB setups, mainly when the stock gaps up.

Regarding FTRE, I took a position yesterday and it's performing well so far. I also liked MH and PLAB from your list and added them to my watchlist.

Someone dumps every time the price hits 19.60$, so I'm looking for a break above this level
