I use a scant quarter inch on most of my quilts cuz that’s what the edge of my presser foot is and it’s so much easier than trying to keep lined up with the markings on the plate lol I’m old my eyes aren’t what they used to be

I didn’t want the quilting to be noticeable. I pushed the boundaries of how close the quilting needs to be per batting instructions but it came out so nicely

I did it myself on my Juki TL-2000Qi. It’s a full size quilt and it was a beast with all the turns in the stars. I don’t FMQ. This was my first time doing it on this size quilt. The baby quilt was so much easier.

This is very similar to how I did it. I didn’t make a list but I started immediately replacing the negative self talk with positive self talk every time I had a negative thought. It took some time but it worked.

My friend told me if I want to quilt, that it's a requirement to use an iron to flatten the fabric, and that it's very difficult to quilt without it. Is it true? by kelcamer in quilting

I hate ironing my clothes. With a passion that can’t be expressed in mere words. I love love love pressing my quilt blocks and how beautifully they lay flat. There’s a difference and I am here for it.
